East Sac took charge early on their way to their first win of the season. The Raiders were able to establish the run and passing game, throwing for 159-yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 213-yards and two more touchdowns. The defense created three turnovers, helping set up the offense.
The Raiders started the scoring in the 1st quarter when Sam Julin hit Ashler Lawler for a 30-yard touchdown pass, giving them a 8-0 lead with 8:20 left in the quarter. They struck again near the end of the 1st quarter when Landon Grindle scored on an 8-yard run with 0:49 left. The Raiders led 14-0 going into the 2nd quarter and were just getting started. The defense got involved in the scoring in the 2nd quarter when Sam Julin returned an interception 15-yards for a touchdown, putting them ahead 20-0. The defense made another stop, getting the ball back late in the half. Sam Julin found Asher Lawler for the second time, scoring on a 53-yard touchdown. The pass came on a 3rd and 27. East Sac led 28-0 at half. The Raiders struck twice more in the 3rd quarter, sending the game into continuous clock. Sam Julin hit Jack Gullett for a 40-yard touchdeown with 5:41 left in the 3rd. Gullett made a pair of interceptions on defense as East Sac picked off Missouri Valley three times. Landon Grindle capped the scoring with a 45-yard scamper late in the 3rd quarter.
Sam Julin threw for 159-yards and three touchdowns, hitting Ashler Lawler for a pair of touchdowns. Lawler had 4 catches for 98-yards. Landon Grindle carried the ball 15 times for 115-yards, scoring twice. Carson Schmitt paced the defense with 11 tackles, 10 of them were solo. Gabe King added 8.5 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss.
The Raiders are 1-2 overall and host Emmetsburg on Friday to open district play.
