Audubon At South Central Calhoun Tournament
South Central Calhoun went 6-0 in matches, claiming the championship at their tournament with Audubon taking 3rd place, going 3-3 in matches. The Titans were 12-2 in sets, winning 2-0 over Manson NW Webster, Perry, Pocahontas Area and South Hamilton and pulling out 2-1 wins over Audubon and Spencer. The Titans won the first set in both their three set wins but dropped the second set before taking charge in the 3rd set. They slipped past Spencer in the final set, winning 15-12 and got out quickly against Audubon to earn a 15-8 win. The Wheelers were 8-7 in sets, picking up sweeps against Pocahontas Area and Spencer. They rallied to beat South Hamilton after dropping the 1st set 15-21, they won 21-16 and 15-10. Manson NW Webster sent 4-2, taking 2nd place with Spencer and Perry finishing 3-3, taking 4th and 5th place. Pocahontas Area was 2-4 and South Hamilton ended the day 0-6. The Titans were strong most of the day while Audubon started slow in the morning but played really well as the day went on.
Jayci Graeve had a big day at the net for the Titans with a team high 43 kills. She added 18 digs. Brenna McAlister had 23 kills and 18 digs but it was her serve that shined on Saturday. She served the Titans to a 14-0 lead to start the 2nd set with South Hamilton and finished the tournament with 14 aces. Norah Riedesel had 89 assists with 7 aces, Sadie Wheelock finished with 14 kills and 7 blocks and Kaitlyn O’Neill had 13 kills. Alexa Holm had a team high 24 digs and 7 aces with Macie Dorman adding 10 digs and Nicole Meyer finished with 6 aces.
Harlow Miller impressed in leading the Wheelers with 55 kills to go with 37 digs, 9 blocks and 8 aces. Anna Larsen added 76 assists with 29 digs and 10 aces and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer had 17 kills, 55 digs and 6 aces. Abby Wanser finished with 23 digs and 11 aces with Jordan Mulford adding 19 digs and Payton Gust had 16 digs. Lucy Stanerson had a pair of clutch blocks for the Wheelers in their win over Pocahontas Area, finishing with 6 blocks on the day. Briley Belnap added 17 digs.
The Titans improved to 10-3 on the season and will travel to Alta-Aurelia on Thursday. Audubon improves to 3-5 and will head to Madrid for a triangular along with Glidden Ralston on Tuesday.

Ar-We-Va and East Sac At Ridge View Tournament
East Sac advanced into the championship match, falling to host Ridge View for the second time on the day. Ar-We-Va battled hard against larger schools, going 0-3 in matches. The Raiders were 7-4 in sets with all four set losses to Ridge View. They opened the day against the Raptors, winning the 1st set 27-25. East Sac led set two but took a 7-1 lead in the 3rd set. After a delay for a medical issue with East Sac up 10-7 they fell 15-13 to start the day 0-1. East Sac quickly bounced back with sweeps of LoMa 21-15, 21-17 and Ar-We-Va 21-8, 21-8, advancing into a semifinal match with Westwood. The Raiders started fast against Westwood, going up 16-1 in the 1st set, winning 25-16. Katelyn Schmitt served most of the set, finishing with 4 aces as the Raiders swept the Rebels, winning 25-22 in the 2nd set. They rematched with Ridge View for the title and fell in two sets. Ar-We-Va played their best in the second set against LoMa, falling 21-12. They lost 21-8 in the opening set and fell 21-9 and 21-5 against Ridge View.
Addisen Ehler continues a strong start to the season, leading East Sac with 37 kills along with 30 digs, 6 blocks and 3 aces. Jordin Carroll had 84 assists, adding 13 digs and 3 aces. Kendall Quirk had a career best day hitting the ball, finishing with 22 kills while adding 6 blocks. Katelyn Schmitt was terrific at the service line with 11 aces to go with 14 kills and 25 digs. Emerson Ludwig added 14 kills and 3 aces. Sarah Bontrager had 16 digs and Ella Wilson added 22 digs.
Morgan Berg and Hallie McCollough paced the Rockets with 4 kills each and Amber Ragaller and Annalee Wittrock both having 3 kills. Amber Ragaller dished out 12 assists with Emma Leiting and Morgan Berg pacing them with 10 digs each. Amber Ragaller added 7 digs and Azaya Martinez had 5 digs.
East Sac sits 7-3 on the season and heads to West Bend Mallard on Thursday. Ar-We-Va slips to 0-5 and will head to IKM-Manning for a triangular with Exira-EHK on Tuesday.
