The Carroll Tigers dropped a close game on the road in a pitching dual against Denison-Schleswig on Monday. Carroll committed two errors, which led to an unearned run coming across the board. Neither team scored in the first and second innings, and they came would be scoreless going to the third inning. In the bottom of the third inning, Denison-Schleswig plated the game’s lone run to take a 1-0 lead over Carroll. Carroll managed three hits in the game, neither team would score the rest of the game as the Tigers would go on to lose 1-0. Stone Sibenaller suffered the loss on the hill but pitched well, going three-plus innings and giving up four hits while striking out five Denison-Schleswig batters. Trey Tassell came on in relief, pitching two-plus innings. Tate Schlieisman recorded a multi-hit game, going 2-3. Jackson Gross recorded the other hit, going 1-2 with a double. With the loss, Carroll falls to 8-17. The Tigers wrap up their regular season on Tuesday against Perry.
