The Carroll Tigers started to find their way late in the match but could not complete the comeback at home Thursday against Ballard. Ballard came out of the gate and scored four goals in the first half. The Tigers come into the second half a different team out, scoring Ballard 2-1 in the half. The Tigers defense played better in the second half. Carroll is still adjusting defensively with some new players on the back line. Paige Potthoff scored both goals for the Tigers in the second half, which came in the last 15 minutes of the game. Carroll had other chances to score but was unable to capitalize. Marin Overmohle finished with 14 saves in goal for Carroll.
