Carson Matthews had a strong singles match earning the Wheelers a win. He used his serve and aggressive play to get an advantage and kept the pressure up all match. He says he noticed the areas he could attack after the first-two games and kept working those areas. He won 8-1 as the Wheelers went 21-41 in singles. Isaac Jackson had a nice rally in his singles match, falling behind 4-1 before pulling within 6-5. He felt he had some chances but didn’t take advantage of them. Jackson fell in an fun match, losing 8-5. Sawyer Toft and Lincoln Sorter both fell 8-3 in singles. The Wheelers went 0-3 in matches in doubles, going 9-24 in games. Carson Matthews and Lincoln Sorter played well in doubles, losing 8-4.
The Wheelers fell to 0-2 on the season and will head to Harlan on Thursday.
