Boys Track Results Friday, April 5th 

IKM-Manning At Denison Schleswig 

IKM-Manning won the team championship in an extremely tight race, topping Harlan but 2-points and Woodbine by 7-points. The Wolves were strong in every event, winning a pair of events along with having six more individual events in the top 3 and seven more in the top 5. They finished in the top 3 in six of the seven relays, making the top 5 in the other relay. They claimed one relay title. Their depth in a number of events helped them score 129-points.

Isaac Blankman was part of both of their titles, winning the 800 Meters (2:13.1) with a strong run in which he led the entire race and closed the race, pulling away from the competition. Blankman was also part of the winning 4×800 (8:57.6), which dominated the race, never trailing. Lane Sams started them off strong, Abe Polzien added to the lead and Ben Ramsey kept the lead near 100 meters before Blankman closed it out strong.

Ross Kusel tied for 2nd for the Wolves in the High Jump, Abe Polzien was 2nd in the 200 Meters with Kusel in 3rd place. Lane Sams took 2nd in the 1600 Meters and Justin Segebart was 3rd in the 400 Hurdles. The Wolves took 3rd in the 4×100 with Davis Rasmussen, Max Butler, Kasche Huehn and Justin Segebart. They took 2nd in the 4×200 and 4×400 with Davis Rasmussen, Max Butler, Abe Polzien and Ross Kusel in the 200 and Abe Polzien, Isaac Blankman, Lane Sams and Ross Kusel in the 400. The Wolves added 2nd place finishes in the Distance Medley with Justin Segebart, Brock Kusel, Kasche Huehn and Wyatt Danner and in the Shuttle Hurdle with Justin Segebart, Max Butler, Eian Snyder and Tyson Smith.

The Wolves head to Carroll on Monday.

Glidden Ralston and Paton Churdan At Greene County Early Bird 

Paton Churdan finished 9th with 23-points and Glidden Ralston was 10th with 17-points in both teams first outdoor meet of the season. The Rockets had two individual events in the top 3 and two more in the top 5. The Wildcats finished with one individual event in the top 5.

Trevon Keely started his freshman season strong for Paton Churdan, taking 2nd in the High Jump, 3rd in the 400 Meters and 4th in the Long Jump. Blaise Schilling added a 5th place in the Long Jump.

Jonathan Bergmeier paced the way for Glidden Ralston taking 5th in the 110 Hurdles. Bergmeier added a 6th place in the 400 Hurdles. Joe Thelin took 6th for the Wildcats in the 3200 Meters.

Paton Churdan and Glidden Ralston head to SE Valley on Monday.
