The East Sac County Raiders drop their first game of the year on the road at Panorama. The Raider’s defense was strong for parts in the first half but gave up five goals. The Raiders trailed 5-0 at the half. Panorama extended their lead early in the second half, scoring three quick goals to score 8-0. Kenna Meyer scored the lone goal for the Raiders off of a pass from Chloe Bieret. ESC would go on to lose 8-1. Denae Thayer was excellent in goal for ESC, finishing with 17 saves. The Raiders only managed three shots against Panorama. With the loss, ESC falls to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders are back in action on Monday against Riverside.

Carroll at Greene County

Carroll picks up their first win of the season on the road Thursday at Greene County. The Tigers were great offensively against the Rams. Carroll controlled the game offensively and had a ton of looks at the goal. Carroll would score two goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead as both teams went to the locker room. The Tigers would have three more goals in the second half and would go on to win 5-1 over Greene County. Paige Potthoff passed the ball well for the Tigers. Parker Adams led Carroll in shots with nine. Adams also had a team with four high goals in the win. Emma Bernholtz recorded the other goal. Kloee Jones was excellent on the backline, defensively for the Tigers. Marin Overmohle had nine saves in goal. With the win, Carroll improves to 1-2 in the season. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday against Logan-Magnolia.
