Girls Super Regional Wrestling Results Friday, January 26th
Carroll and East Sac At Sioux City At Tyson Events Center- Regional 2
Carroll High qualified four girls for the State Wrestling Tournament and East Sac advanced one wrestler out of Regional 2 on Friday. The Tigers had five girls place in the top 6 with East Sac placing a pair of girls. Julia Kanne of Carroll took 2nd at 110 pounds, going 2-1 on the day, with a win by fall and a decision. Averi Burke and Emma Daniels both took 3rd place with Burke at 135 pounds and Daniels at 235 pounds. Averi went 4-1 with 3 wins by fall and a major decision while Emma was 3-1 with all 3 wins by fall. Emma Gross gave the Tigers a fourth wrestler at State, taking 4th at 190 pounds, finishing her day at 4-2 with all 4 wins by fall. Kloee Jones went 2-3 for the Tigers, finishing in 6th place.
East Sac nearly had two wrestlers qualify with Jamie Pierce advancing in 3rd place at 155 pounds. Pierce was 3-1 on the day with a pair of wins by fall and a medical forfeit. Olivya Mack fell just short of making state for a second consecutive year. She finished in 5th place, going 3-3.
