Carroll At West Monona Tournament
Carroll had a strong day at West Monona with three tournament champions and eight wrestlers finishing in the top 3. They scored 157-points, finishing in 2nd place, behind Central Lyon/George-Little Rock, which scored 177.5. Carroll came out aggressive, earning 16 wins in matches wrestled with all 16 by fall. They finished 16-12 in matches wrestled
Sunny McGown won the 105-pound title, going 2-0 with both wins by fall. Averi Burke was the 135-pound champion, going 3-0 with all three wins by fall and Emma Daniels went 2-0 with 2 wins by fall to win the 235-pound title. South Central Calhoun At Spencer Tournament
Evenlyn Kramer earned a title for the South Central Calhoun Titans at the Spencer Tournament on Saturday. The Titans had eight girls place with three in the top 3. They went 11-19 in matches wrestled with nine wins by fall and two wins by decision.
Evelyn Kramer won all three of her matches by fall at 110-pounds to win the championship as her outstanding season continues. Kourtney King went 3-1, earning all three wins by fall to finish in 2nd place and Meia Hefley took 3rd place, earning a pair of wins by decision and a win by fall, going 3-1.
