Ar-We-Va lost at home Friday night to a good Exira-EHK team. The Rockets trailed early 7-0 and would trail the rest of the game. Exira-EHK would go into the second quarter, leading Ar-We-Va 22-5. The Rockets only managed five points in the second quarter and trailed 49-10 at the half. Ar-We-Va scored more points in the second half. Exira-EHK took a 64-20 lead going to the fourth quarter and went on to win 72-24.
Emma Leiting led the Rockets in scoring with eight points. Delaney Schurke was the second-leading scorer with seven points. The loss drops Ar-We-Va to 1-3 on the season. The Rockets are back in action on Thursday against Westwood.

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders stay undefeated on the season with a dominant performance against Paton Churdan. The Crusaders jumped out to a quick 30-3 lead after the first quarter. CRB would hold the Rockets scoreless the rest of the game. The Crusaders lead 59-3 at the half. CRB would extend their lead to 78-3 after three quarters and would go on to win 86-3.
Breeley and Malia Clayburg had 14 points to lead the Crusaders. Ella Heithoff had her best game of the year, recording 13 points off the bench for CRB. Aubrey Hofbauer also chipped in ten points for the Crusaders. With the win, CRB improves to 5-0 on the season and stays undefeated in conference play. Paton Churdan drops to 0-4. The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday against Exira-EHK. Paton Churdan’s next game is Monday against West Central Valley.

The East Sac County Raiders fall on the road to number two Newell Fonda Friday night. The Mustangs jumped out to a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was much better for the Raiders as they would score 12 points and trail at the half 36-12. Newell Fonda extended their lead in the third quarter to 56-15. The Raiders would play better in the fourth but fall to the Mustangs 68-24.
Addisen Ehler scored nine points for ESC. Ehler also led the team in rebounds with five. Sarah Bontrager and Makenna Steiger each recorded six points for the Raiders. ESC falls to 3-2 on the season. The Raiders are back in action on Tuesday against Pocahontas Area.

IKM-Manning got off to a strong start Friday night against Tri-Center but fell at home. The Wolves jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the first quarter, which would be their last lead. Tri-Center would take a 14-8 lead going to the second quarter. The Trojans ended the first on an 11-2 run to take the lead. IKM-Manning outscored Tri-Center in the second quarter. McKenna Benton hit two threes to keep the score close. Tri-Center took a 23-18 going into the half. The Wolves struggled with turnovers and to score in the second half. IKM-Manning was outscored by ten points in the third quarter as Tri-Center would extend their lead to 37-22. Emma Reginato hit a couple of big three’s in the fourth quarter as IKM-Manning attempted to make a comeback. Tri-Center would go on to beat IKM-Manning 49-32.
Emma Reginato led IKM-Manning in scoring with eight points. Anna Stangl and Taylor Beckendorf each recorded six points for the Wolves. Six different IKM-Manning players got into the scoring collum against Tri-Center. The Wolves drop to 0-5 on the season. IKM-Manning is back in action on Saturday against Exira-EHK.

The Kuemper Knights picked up their first win of the season on the road against Red Oak. Kuemper jumped out to an early 19-1 lead after the first quarter and next looked back. The Knights would go on to lead 32-6 at the half. Kuemper continued to play great in the second half. The Knights would score 16 points in the third quarter and take a 48-18 going to the fourth quarter. Kuemper held Red Oak to four points in the fourth quarter and went on to win 61-22.
Charlotte Hackfort scored 12 points for the Knights. Hackfort would hit four threes for Kuemper. Kuemper was led in scoring by Karsyn Overmohle, who recorded 13 points. Elsa Tiefenthaler and Lauren Boell each scored eight points for Kuemper. Tiefenthaler distributed the ball well as she recorded a team-high six assists. Frannie Glynn pulled down a team-high nine rebounds for Kuemper. With the win, the Knights improved to 1-3 on the season. Kuemper is back in action on Tuesday against Atlantic.

The South Central Calhoun Titans drop a close game on the road Friday night. The first quarter was back and forth, but the Titans would trail GTRA 11-7 going into the second quarter. SCC played excellent in the second quarter as they would take a lead 20-18 going into the half. The third quarter was filled with offense as SCC extended their lead in the third quarter. The Titans scored 14 points in the third quarter and took a 34-31 lead into the fourth. SCC struggled to score in the fourth quarter as GTRA would outscore the Titans by nine and go on to win 46-40.
Blair Schleisman shot the ball well for SCC, recording a team-high 13 points. Mia Babcock and Olivia Toms each scored eight points for the Titans. Schleisman distributed the ball well for SCC, and she recorded five assists. Babcock also recorded a team-high eight rebounds. SCC drops to 2-4 on the season. The Titans are back in action against Southeast Valley on Monday.
