The Wolves rallied back after giving up 17 straight points in the 1st half but a 4th quarter touchdown helped the Panthers hold on for the win. IKM-Manning still qualified for the playoffs with Riverside beating Panorama 62-12 to clinch the 4th seed in the district for IKM-Manning. The Wolves ran for 141-yards and got 184-yards passing from Ben Ramsey but LoMa was able to establish their ground game in the 1st half, finishing with 437-yards on the ground, helping them build a 24-7 lead late in the 1st half. IKM-Manning pulled within 24-14 at half and cut it to 24-21 in the 3rd quarter.
Will Anderson scored on a 15-yard run on the Panthers first possession, ending a 5-play drive that put them ahead 7-0. IKM-Manning had the answer, marching down field on a 7-play, 58-yard drive and scoring on a 31-yard run by Davis Rasmussen. The game was tied at 7 with 7:01 left in the 1st quarter. This is where things slipped away for IKM-Manning. The Panthers scored quickly again, going up 15-7. They added a field goal before the end of the 1st quarter and led 18-7 going into 2nd quarter. The lead was extended to 24-7 on a 16-play, 92-yard drive when Evan Roden scored on a 1-yard plunge. There was only a 1:55 left in the half but IKM-Manning went to work. Ben Ramsey found Ross Kusel for a 32-yard touchdown pass and IKM-Manning was down 24-14 at half.
The Wolves used that late momentum from the 1st half and came out the 2nd half, scoring right away. Ben Ramsey found Ross Kusel for their second touchdown connection of the game. This time the 16-yard pass cut the Wolves deficit to 24-21. Both defenses settled in after that until LoMa started a drive at their own 43-yard line in the 3rd quarter. They used their rushing attack to eat up clock and slowly march the ball downfield. Evan Roden scored his second touchdown of the game, running in from the 4-yard line with 9:10 left in the game. The Panthers held on for the 31-21 win.
Ben Ramsey had 184-yards passing along with 2 touchdowns but was intercepted twice. Ross Kusel caught 6 passes for 98-yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had 10 tackles and recovered a fumble. Ben Langel had 69-yards on the ground and Davis Rasmussed added 61-yards rushing. Lane Sams had 3 catches for 66-yards and recovered a fumble. Justin Segebart added 8.5 tackles.
The Wolves finish the regular season 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the district. They will head to Madrid on Friday to open the playoffs.
