The game was as close as the final score indicates with a Ben Ramsey interception sealing the win of the Wolves in the closing seconds. IKM-Manning led at half, having a good 1st half offensively. They struggled in the 3rd quarter, not scoring while Panorama took the lead with 10-points. A late touchdown put the Wolves back in front as Ben Ramsey found Ross Kusel, capping a 8-play 70-yard drive. The win improves IKM-Manning to 2-0.
IKM-Manning struck first, scoring on a Ben Langel 34-yard run with 6:31 left in the 1st quarter. His run capped a 11-play, 79-yard drive, putting the Wolves up 7-0. Panorama struck back quickly with Caden Van Meer hitting Klayton Bremer on a 70-yard pass, tying the game with 6:16 left in the 1st quarter. The scoring kept coming quickly as IKM-Manning scored 3-plays later with Ben Langel scoring on a 7-yard run. The Wolves lead was cut to 13-9 at the end of the 1st quarter on a Panthers sack with 0:32 left. The Panthers scored on the ensuing possession, taking their first lead at 16-13 with a 13-yard run by Caden Van Meer. IKM-Manning didn’t trail long. Ben Langel scored his third touchdown of the half, four plays later on a 13-yard run. IKM-Manning led 19-16 at half.
Ryan Bogil scored early in the 3rd quarter for Panorama. His 17-yard run gave them a 23-19 lead with 10:18 left. A Panther 40-yard field goal stretched the lead to 26-19 with 5:23 left. The Wolves got a 2-point conversion, taking the lead back after scoring on a 8-play, 70-yard drive, capped with Ben Ramsey hitting Ross Kusel for 22-yards with 1:48 remaining. Ben Ramsey picked off a Panthers pass to seal the deal with under a minute left.
IKM-Manning finished with 326-yards of offense, rushing for 289-yards and passing for 87-yards. Panorama won the yardage battle with 399-yards, 205 on the ground and 194-yards passing. Both teams had 20 first downs. The Wolves turned it over on three fumbles.
