East Sac defeated Greene County last week to end the regular season, then hosted the Rams to open the postseason. They struck first when Hannah Pudenz found Sarah Bontrager 9:00 into the game. Kenna Meyer found Davanee Boger at the 24:00 mark, putting the Raiders on top 2-0. Meyer scored just before half, with a 1:48, when Cora Mahler found her for the shot. The game went to half at 3-0, and stayed that way until Kenna Meyer scored on a PK with 15:00 remaining in the game, pushing the score to 4-0. The Raiders defense was a big story, not allowing the Rams to have a shot on goal.
Kenna Meyer, coming off a 5 goal performance, added 2 goals and an assist. Sarah Bontrager and Davanee Boger each had a goal and Hannah Pudenz and Cora Mahler both had assists for East Sac.
The Raiders improve to 6-8 on the season and travel to Gilbert for a Region 6 Quarterfinal on Wednesday.

Carroll At Atlantic- Regular Season

Carroll played their best game of the season, giving them confidence heading into postseason play on Friday. The Tigers battled hard, having the score tied at 1 at half. Paige Pothoff found the back of the net for the Tigers in the 1st half, putting Carroll on the board. Atlantic got the momentum when the Tigers were called for a penalty call in the box early in the 2nd half. Atlantic took control of the game and Carroll never fully recovered. Paige Pothoff added a goal in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough with Atlantic scoring 3 times. Kiley Riesberg finished the night with 24 saves.
Carroll falls to 2-15 to end the regular season and will travel to Perry on Friday for a Class 2A Region 2 Quarterfinal.
