Carroll came out focused and ready to play, shutting down Gabe Moreno, jumping passing lanes, hitting 3’s and building an 18-0 lead in just over three minutes. They never looked back, outscoring the Eagles in every quarter, pushing the game into continuous clock in the 4th quarter. Everyone that played for Carroll in the first-three quarters contributed to the win. Mac Collison, Jake Jorgensen and Landon Petersen chased Gabe Moreno around all game. They held him to 6-points in the 1st half and 20 for the game with 8-10 of those coming late, after the game had been decided. The offense clicked early, getting 3’s from Mac Collison, Jared Mohr and Trey Tassell. The defensive intensity allowed the Tigers to jump passing lanes, turning into layups on the offensive end. Carroll’s ball movement was outstanding all game long, giving up a great shot to make extra pass for a great shot.

Mac Collison and Jared Mohr hit 3’s to open the game and a Tigers steal led to a layup from Collison as Carroll took a 8-0 lead. It didn’t stop there was Trey Tassell drained a three, Lual Tharjiath scored back-to-back baskets with the second being an and-one. The five straight points from Tharjiath made it 18-0 midway through the 1st quarter. Saydel hit a few 3’s to close the 1st quarter but Carroll closed the quarter on a 5-0 run with Chase Schable draining a three and Jared Mohr scoring inside, putting Carroll up 26-9 at the end of the 1st quarter. Saydel  hit a three to start the 2nd quarter but Carroll got free throws from Mac Collison, a bucket from Jared Mohr and two straight baskets from Lual Tharjiath. The lead was 34-17 but continued to grow. Jared Mohr stepped into a three and Mac Collison added another pair of free throws, making it 39-12. Saydel made a little run to end the 1st half but Carroll led 43-20.

A three from Saydel started the 2nd half but Lual Tharjiath ignited the Carroll crowd with back-to-back baskets. The second was a steal and windmill dunk. Carroll kept the pressure on with guy diving on the floor for loss balls, playing great defense and getting a lot of second chance points. Mason Stitz hit a three and Carroll was up 59-30 late in the 3rd. The Tigers took a 61-37 lead into the 4th quarter. Mason Stitz hit a three midway through the 4th and Carroll pushed the game into continuous clock. Saydel closed the game on a 10-0 run but the game had been decided.

Mac Collison had 23-points and 6 steals and played great defense all game. Jared Mohr added 18-points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists with Lual Tharjiath having 15-points and 10 rebounds. Tallon Crandall had 5-points and 4 rebounds and Jake Jorgensen added 5-points and 3 rebounds.

Carroll moved to 19-5 overall and will host Sioux Center on Monday on KIKD 106.7. Sioux Center defeated MOC Floyd Valley 58-46.
