Boys State Wrestling Tournament Results for Friday, February 20th
Class 1A and Class 2A Results
Karson Wuebker of South Central Calhoun will wrestle for a State Title in Class 1A at 106-pounds on Saturday night. He rolled through both of his matches on Friday, winning his quarterfinal by tech fall (18-1), then cruised into the finals with a tech fall (15-0) win in his semifinal. His dominance helped South Central Calhoun sit in 17th place in Class 1A with 41.5-points. They went 3-3 on Friday with all three of their matches coming by tech fall. Jace Pedersen of South Central Calhoun will wrestle for 7th place on Saturday while Curtis Bullock went 0-1 on Friday. Quinten Polking of Carroll moved into the semifinals with a 4-1 win in the quarterfinals. He lost in the semifinals and will wrestle on Saturday morning to determine if he wrestles for 3rd or 5th. Gavin Holt of Carroll went 2-1 with both wins coming by fall. He will wrestle Saturday morning for 7th. Kieran Polking of Carroll went 1-1 with his win by fall. Carroll is 20th in Class 2A with 39-points. They went 4-3 on Friday with three wins by fall and a decision. Treynor Cose of Coon Rapids Bayard went 2-1 on Friday with both wins by fall. He will wrestle on Saturday morning to determine if he will wrestle for 3rd or 5th. The Crusaders are in 31st in Class 1A with 27.5-points, going 2-3 on Friday with both wins by fall. Caleb Hoffman and Johnny Cortez both went 0-1 on Friday for Coon Rapids Bayard. Leyton Elmquist of Audubon will wrestle for 7th place on Saturday morning, going 1-2 on Friday with a win by decision. Dawson Allen of East Sac went 0-1 on Friday.
