Coon Rapids-Bayard hosted CAM and earned a solid home win. The Crusaders went with an alternate lineup of all seniors as it was senior night. The game started at 2-2 before the Crusaders were off and rolling. Cal Heydon was getting to his spots and Ty Heydon crashed the glass well with 21 rebounds on the night. The Crusaders rolled to take a 15-10 lead after the first. In the second is when the Crusaders dominated offensivly. Cal Heydon remained the top player on the floor and went out to get 19 points in the first half for a 43-28 lead at half. Cal Heydon would get up to 26 points before a corner 3 would give him 29 and put him over 2000 points for his career. Heydon woulf finish with 31. The Crusaders rolled for a 74-43 win at home.

Wyatt Ragaller took a tipped pass from Derek Thomsen near halfcourt as he was streaking down the left sidelines. He caught the pass, took a couple dribbles and fired up a shot to beat the buzzer. It banked home and Ar-We-Va staved off a furious effort from Paton Churdan as both teams closed out the regular season with great efforts. Ar-We-Va escaped with a 60-57 win, just as the game looked like it was going to overtime. Trevon Keely stepped up for Paton Churdan moments before the Ragaller buzzer beater and hit a pair of free throws, tying the game at 57. Keely was fouled as Paton Churdan had to change their last offensive play when the in-bounds pass was thrown into the backcourt. Keely got the ball on the left wing and attacked the basket, drawing a foul to get to the line. Ar-We-Va drew up the perfect play and executed it well to earn the win.
Wyatt Ragaller started both halves with a three as Ar-We-Va led 3-0 early. Phoenix Hartman had a great night shooting for Paton Churdan and answered, tying the game at 3. The game was tight early with Wyatt Ragaller getting an old-fashioned three-point play to make it 8-5 Ar-We-Va but Phoenix Hartman hit another three, scoring the first-eight-points for Paton Churdan, tying the game at 8. Blaise Schilling gave Paton Churdan their first lead at 10-8, but Ar-We-Va tied it at 12 and closed the 1st quarter with a 4-0 run and led 16-12 on a basket by Derek Thomsen. Cayden Stream and Trevon Keely both made two free throws to start the 2nd quarter and Paton Churdan knotted the game at 16. Derek Thomsen and Wyatt Ragaller both had baskets and Ragaller and Hayden Studer each made a free throw and Ar-We-Va went up 22-16. Paton Churdan closed the half with a 8-0 run started by Donavan Martin. Trevon Keely cut the deficit to 22-20 and Phoenix Hartman hit a three to end the 1st half scoring with Paton Churdan up 24-22.
Wyatt Ragaller started the 2nd half, exactly as he did the 1st half with a three. The lead went back and forth with Hayden Studer putting Ar-We-Va up 27-26. Wyatt Ragaller gave them their biggest lead of the game at 35-28 but Paton Churdan fought back again. Trevon Keely hit two free throws and Damen Rice drained a three, making it 35-33 Ar-We-Va. Ar-We-Va pushed the lead back to 38-33 but Paton Churdan went on a 5-0 run with Trevon Keely tying the game at 38. Derek Thomsen hit a big shot for Ar-We-Va and they edged to a 42-38 lead heading to the 4th quarter. Blaise Schilling and Trevon Keely scored for Paton Churdan to start the 4th, tying the game at 42. Phoenix Hartman put Paton Churdan up 45-44 with another three but Wyatt Ragaller gave Ar-We-Va the lead at 50-48 with a three. Derek Thomsen hit a three and Ar-We-Va looked to be gaining control, up 56-50. Bryce Stephenson scored on a three-point play and Trevon Keely cut the Ar-We-Va lead to 56-55. Wyatt Ragaller hit a free throw but couldn’t extend the lead any further. Trevon Keely hit a pair of free throws to tie the game, setting up the game winning three from Wyatt Ragaller from the right wing. His bank shot lifted Ar-We-Va to a 60-57 win.
Wyatt Ragaller had a game high 32-points with 5 rebounds. Derek Thomsen added 14-points and 6 rebounds with Tyson Von Glan pulling down 8 rebounds and Hayden Studer having 4 steals.
Trevon Keely and Phoenix Hartman had big offensive games for Paton Churdan with Keely scoring 17-points to go with 7 rebounds and Hartman adding 16-points on four made 3’s. Blaise Schilling had 8 rebounds and Donavan Martin added 7-points and 5 rebounds.
Ar-We-Va ends the regular season at 14-7 and opens the postseason next Monday. Paton Churdan closes out the regular season 7-15 and will head to the postseason next week.

IKM-Manning picked up a non-conference win over MVAOCOU on Monday evening. The Wolves would jump up in a very fast first quarter, 19-15. MVAOCOU flipped the score as the offenses thrived, and the Rams led 34-30. The Wolves were able to find some separation in the 3rd with 4 different Wolves being in double figures and one Wolve at 9 as well. IKM-Manning was able to pull out a 71-62 win on the road. Wyatt Danner led the Wolves with 23 points.

The Wildcats struggled to score early, but their defense was strong and they were able to force turnovers to jumpstart the offense. Landon Rohrbeck had 7 points in the first quarter as it was a 17-4 lead after 1. Storm Lake St. Marys hit one field goal in the second as the Wildcats kept rolling into a 38-9 lead at the halftime break. The Wildcats kept it up to roll to a 66-19 win on the road. Colton Rohrbeck led the Wildcats with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
