Kuemper picked up a win over Shenandoah to keep their conference title hopes alive. The Knights played without one of their starters, Kaylie Simons. They would have a small edge in the 1st with a 15-11 lead after it. The Knights shot the 3 well with Elsa Tiefenthaler going 2-2 and Charlotte Hackfort making 4 of her own. The Knights reached double figures again in the 2nd, leading 26-19 at the break. The 3rd quarter was very back-and-forth, with both teams adding 9 points. Kuemper would hold on in the 4th to pick up a 44-36 win at home. With the win and a possible win over Creston on Monday, the Knights would have a conference title showdown on Tuesday against St. Albert at the Casey’s Center.

Carroll fell in a conference game at Ballard on Friday. The Tigers were without Chloe Kock to start the game which was a big hit. The Tigers opened up with another hit as Ali Kock would go down and their two leading scorers would be out. The Tigers struggled from the floor as they would fall behind 10-3 after 1. The press and zone matchup from Ballard was also a struggle it was 36-7 at the halftime break. The Tigers were outscored 33-11 in the 2nd half as they would fall 59-18 on the road. Sadie Kelly led the Tigers with 7 points and they are back in action Saturday at home.

South Central Calhoun traveled to Manson NW Webster on Friday evening. The Titans would pick up a nice 44-29 win on the road. The Titans started off hot and would pick up a 10-4 lead after 1. The Titans’ offense would be led by Blair Schleisman, who scored 20 points and had 5 steals, as the Titans went up 24-10 at the break. The Titans would outscore the Cougars 10-3 in the 3rd but give up 16 in the 4th to hold on for a 44-29 win on the road. The Titans have now won 2 straight and move to 7-13 on the season.

Coon Rapids-Bayard Girls picked up a nice road win over Boyer Valley on Friday. The Crusaders recently jumped to #14 in the rankings and are hot off a win over ACGC. The Crusaders came out fast offensively and hammered Boyer Valley defensively, leading 15-4 after 1. The 2nd was even better of an offensive quarter as the Crusaders added 20 to lead 35-15 at the break. CRB then closed out the game with a 27-17 second half to pick up a 62-34 win on the road.  Anna Hart with 9 assists became the Crusaders all-time leader in assists.

P-C struggled offensively early as they fell behind 15-2 after the first. The offense picked up for the Rockets, as they scored 14 and trailed 36-16 at the break. The third was the most competitive quarter as both teams’ defense shone with a 9-7 quarter anda 45-23 lead for Woodbine. The Tigers closed out the night with a 67-32 win at home. P-C was led by Alivya Smith with 12 points.

The Wolves started off well as they were able to make some shots and led 12-8 after the first quarter. The Wolves were able to hold on in the second for a very similar outcome and a 25-16 lead at the halftime break. The Wolves struggled in the 3rd as they would allow 12 from AHSTW and only get 4 to lead 29-28 after 3. The Wolves would end up falling by one possesion, 39-36 on the road. The Wolves were led by Keagan Eischeid with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Glidden-Ralston fell at home in a conference matchup with CAM on Friday. The Wildcats came in at 11-8 and had just fell to Exira-EHK earlier in the week. It was a very close game all the way down the stretch as both teams fought hard. CAM was able to edge the Wildcats in the first 12-11. Glidden-Ralston came back in a very defensive quarter as they flipped into a 19-18 lead at the halftime break. The Wildcats would be outscored by 4 in the third which put them down by 3 heading into the final quarter. CAM put themselves up 2 and on the final play a Wildcat 3 pointer came up short and the Wildcats would fall 47-45. Jenna Subbert led the Wildcats with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

East Sac picked up a nice conference win at Southeast Valley on Thursday. The Raiders sat at 8-11 heading into the ballgame. East Sac came out hot as they would total 21 steals in the game and get plenty of action in the fast breaks as they led 20-2 after the first. The Raiders kept it up in the second with another 10+ point quarter for a 32-4 lead at the halftime break. The third was very competitive as Southeast Valley would get 11 but East Sac matched them with 13 and led big heading into the 4th. The Raiders would close out the night with a 52-19 win on the road. East Sac was led by Sarah Bontrager with 20 points and 4 steals.
