Girls State Wrestling Finals Results Friday, February 6th
The sophomore earned her way into the finals and brings home a 2nd place finish, falling by major decision (13-4). Violet Diaz was able to get inside and use her strength to get a pair of takedowns, one in the 1st period and one in the 2nd period, giving her a 13-2. Rasmussen chose top to start the 3rd period and did a nice job nearly flipping her midway through the period but Diaz was able stay on her stomach and was called for stalling twice in the final minute.
1A-110 Macy Rasmussen (53-3) placed 2nd and scored 22.0 team points.
