Girls State Wrestling Results Thursday, February 5th- Class 1A
Audubon, Kuemper And South Central Calhoun
Macy Rasmussen of Audubon went 2-0 on Thursday, advancing to the State Semifinals on Friday at 110-pounds. Rasmussen won both of her matches quickly, winning her opening round match in 2:38. She cruised through her quarterfinal match, winning by fall in 1:53.
Sadie Smith of Kuemper advanced to Friday at 130-pounds, going 2-1 with a pair of wins by fall. She advanced through her opening round with a pin at 3:35, then lost in the quarterfinals before winning by fall in the 2nd round consolation in 5:26. Cara Schuette and Lucy Pothoff both went 1-2 with Schuette winning by decision and Potthoff winning by fall.
Emery Kramer of South Central Calhoun moved into Friday’s session with a 2-1 day. She dropped her opening round match but settled in on the backside winning her 1st round and 2nd round consolation by fall. Goldie Davis and Miea Hefley both went 1-2 with both of them winning by fall.
