Girls Wrestling Results Monday, January 26th 

Kuemper, Carroll and South Central Calhoun At East Sac Tournament 

Kuemper earned a tournament championship as area teams took three of the top four team spots at the East Sac tournament on Monday. The Knights roared back down the stretch to score 169-points to win, going 25-9 in matches wrestled with 22 wins by fall and 3 by decision. The Knight won five individual titles. Carroll finished in 3rd with 141-points. The Tigers had two individual champions, going 22-16 in matches wrestled with 18 wins by fall, 2 tech fall, a decision and a medical forfeit. South Central Calhoun was 4th in the team race with 114-points. The Titans had three individual champions and went 12-9 in matches wrestled with 11 wins by fall and a decision. East Sac scored 24-points, taking 11th. The Raiders went 3-13 in matches wrestled.

Sadie Smith went 4-0 for Kuemper, winning the championship at 130-pounds. Smith won three matches by fall and had a decision. Madigan Hoyt, Anna Schuette, Cara Schuette and Rylie Massey all went 3-0 and all won their weight classes. Hoyt won at 120-pounds with two wins by fall and a decision, Anna Schuette had three wins by fall at 140-pounds and Cara Schuette won all three of her matches by fall at 145-pounds. Rylie Massey had three wins by fall at 170-pounds. Aurora Badding went 3-1 with all three wins by fall.

Emma Grossman was 4-0 for Carroll, winning all four of her matches by fall to win the 190-pound championship. Emma Daniels went 2-0, winning the 235-pound championship with a win by fall and a medial forfeit. Alexis Esquivel and Kamee Jones both finished in 2nd place with both going 2-1. Esquivel had two wins by fall and Jones had a win by fall and a tech fall. Cameron Miller, Carley Jacobsen and Cameron Kinkade all went 3-1 with all three finishing in 3rd. Kinkade all three wins by fall, Miller had two wins by fall and a decision and Jacobsen had two wins by fall and a tech fall.

Goldie Davis, Meia Hefley and Jaylon Zika all won championships for South Central Calhoun. Davis went 3-0 at 100-pounds with all three wins by fall, Zika won all three matches by fall at 155-pounds and Hefley had a win by fall and a decision at 135-pounds. Emery Kramer went 2-1 and won both of her wins by fall, taking 2nd place and Bella Dorsey went 1-1 and finished in 2nd place with a win by fall.

Sophia Villegas led East Sac, going 3-2 with all three of her wins by fall.
