Kuemper picked up a huge win over a traditionally good program in Grand View Christian at the Gilbert Showcase on Saturday. GVC came in at 7-6 but on a 5 game win streak so they were hot. The Knights took it to them early and forced two timeouts within the first quarter alone as they rolled to a 22-12 lead after 1. The Knights kept it going in the 2nd as they would shoot the ball well, find the open man, and just played their best ball. Ryan Clair went into the half with 21 which would lead all scorers. Brayden Hoben of GVC had 18 and he was the Thunders main target. Kuemper kept it rolling in the 3rd as they would get their 3rd quarter of 20+ points. The Knights shot 50% from the field and 44% from 3 but the main point was the 18 assists as they moved the ball well. The Knights would roll to a 82-56 win at the Gilbert Showcase.

Carroll picked up a huge win to close out the week over Des Moines Christian. The Tigers were hot off of a win over #4 ADM on Thursday. Carroll and DMC went back and forth in the 1st as the Lions full court pressure was a lot to handle early. Max Town came in to the game averaging 20 and had 9 in the first as the Lions went up 17-10. The Tigers defense ramped up and they held Town to 2 in the rest of the game as they shot the all phenomenal for a 20-7 2nd quarter and a huge lead going into the break. The Lions kept it within arms length in the 3rd but cut it to 13 in a chippy 4th quarter. The Tigers ended up holding them at bay for a 66-50 win. 4 guys were in double figures for the Tigers and 1 had 9 as they showed why they are jumping up in the rankings.
