Kuemper took on conference mate Clarinda on Tuesday night. The Knights took down Harlan to open the week and now played back to back days. Both teams came out hot early and Clarinda on their home floor had the upper hand to take a 15-13 lead. In the 2nd quarter it was once again very close yet less high scoring as Kuemper battled back to tie the game up at the break. The 3rd quarter is where Kuemper separated as they would add 14 to their total and hold Clarinda to 7 and take a 7 point lead into the final quarter. Kuemper was able to to hold on for a 49-42 win on the road and move to 2-0 on the week. Elsa Tiefenthaler led the Knights with 25 points.

Carroll struggled for the field for three quarters, then got on fire in the 4th quarter, scoring 25-points. The problem for Carroll was ADM, who shot well most of the game continued to shoot well, scoring 23-points in the final stanza. Carroll did a nice job battling through foul trouble with nobody fouling out.
ADM scored the first-four points of the game but Carroll answered with four in a row with buckets from Chloe Kock and ali Kock. ADM responded with a 10-0 run and never trailed again. Willow Feld hit a pair of free throws and Bella Lu added a free throw as Carroll pulled within 14-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. Carroll kept shooting free throws with Jersey Sporrer scoring at the line and Ali Kock getting inside, pulling Carroll within 17-10. Carroll trailed 19-11 at the end of the 1st half after Ali Kock scoring late in the to end half.
Analia Ayala scored to start the 2nd half, pulling Carroll within 19-13 but ADM responded with a 6-0 run to lead 25-13. Chloe Kock stopped the run but ADM scored seven in a row. Bella Lu ended the 3rd with a three and Carroll trailed 32-18. Jersey Sporrer hit a three early in the 4th and Carroll trailed 36-21. The lead for ADM grew to 40-21 before Carroll responded with a Carroll hitting four straight free throws and Aubrie Schmitt-Hubbard hitting a three, pulling them within 40-28. ADM pushed the lead to 43-28 before Analia Ayala scored a bucket and Ali Kock hit pair of free throws and Bella Lu drained a three and Carroll was down 45-36. Ali Kock added a three a few moments later and Carroll was down 47-39 in the closing minutes. A Chloe Kock two kept Carroll in striking distance but ADM was able to hit free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Ali Kock led Carroll with 13-points and 12 rebounds Belle Lu added 9-points and 5 rebounds, Chloe Kock had 6-points and 5 rebounds and Analia Ayala had 6-points and 3 steals.
Carroll falls to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the RRC. They head to St Albert on Thursday.

Coon Rapids-Bayard hosted Exira-EHK in a huge game Tuesday evening. It was a battle of two local girls teams and it was more than likely the Rolling Valley conference championship game as Exira-EHK had beaten CRB and was undefeated in conference play. The Spartans came out fast and CRB tried to match the pace but with good defense, the Spartans were able to mount an 18-3 lead after 1. CRB was able to crawl slowly back into the game in the 2nd as they would score more efficiently to trail 29-20 at the break. Right when CRB was back in the game, Exira-EHK dialed it back up and went on a 12-3 and 11-5 run in the 3rd and 4th to close out the game with a 52-28 win. Taryn Petersen led the Spartans with 19 and Jaelynn Petersen crossed 1000 career points during the game. Malia Clayburg led the Crusaders with 10.

Two teams that were very even but ESC with home court and a good offensive game from Sarah Bontrager came out up 12-8 after 1. The Raiders would outscore the Wolverines in every quarter as they would pick up the 44-28 win at home. Their 4th quarter run of 16-7 was the main piece to the puzzle. Sarah Bontrager hit 5 threes to have 19 points on the night. Reese Aschinger had 7 steals to lead the team as well. The Raiders host MVAOCOU on Thursday evening.

Glidden-Ralston played their 2nd game this week on the road against Boyer Valley. The Wildcats were coming off a win at Ogden on Monday evening to move to 8-6 on the season as they faced the 7-9 Bulldogs. The Wildcats and Bulldogs went back and forth with Boyer Valley gaining the upperhand with a 16-11 lead after 1. Glidden-Ralston would than fall behind once again with an 8 point deficit at the half. The Wildcats ended up in a huge 18 point hole after a 16-6 3rd quarter. In the 4th, the Wildcats exploded for 31 but gave up 20 to fall 66-59 on the road.

IKM-Manning traveled to LoMa for a conference matchup Tuesday evening. The Wolves have had a solid season and tonight they showed why they are a good team. The Wolves jumped out 16-9 after one. IKM-M would double down and take a 28-14 lead at the break. The game looked a lot closer with the third as LoMa was able to put up a 24-21 quarter to keep it somewhat better looking but with a 16-2 4th quarter, IKM-Manning picked up a 65-40 win on the road. The Wolves had plenty of big nights as Addisyn Bandow had 11 points and 9 rebounds, Keagan Eischeid had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Oriah Meiners had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Pocahontas gained the lead early and held it throughout the first. The Indians led 14-6 after 1. In the second, the Titans outscored the Indians 12-9 to trail 23-18 at the half. It was close until the 3rd when the Indians went on an 18-2 run during the quarter to have a huge lead. Pocahontas Area closed out the game to pick up a 63-32 win on the road.
