Carroll earned a huge win in the Raccoon River Conference on Tuesday, jumping out to an early lead and holding off every ADM run down the stretch. The Tigers hit clutch free throws in the closing minutes. Made stops when they needed and took advantage of the ADM press twice in the closing minute to score an uncontested layup and get to the free throw line for a pair of free throws to seal the win. Carroll was strong defensively when they needed to make stops as ADM leaned heavily on Trey Bryte and Hudson Lorensen. Carroll outscored ADM in three of the four quarters, building a 35-22 lead at half on a layup by Mac Collison. They grew the lead to 13 in the 3rd quarter before ADM fought back to trail 47-42 going to the 4th quarter. ADM pulled within three-three times in the final stanza and even had it to 55-53 with just over a minute remaining.
Jared Mohr scored and was fouled on the opening possession as Carroll executed the play perfectly. ADM responded with a 7-0 run and led 7-3 before Mac Collison drained a three and scored a layup to give the Tigers the lead for good at 8-7. Lual Tharjiath put Carroll up 10-8 with a dunk and Collison added a bucket and free throw for a 13-10 lead. ADM pulled within 13-10 but Jake Jorgensen drained a three and Carroll led 16-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. Carroll opened the 2nd quarter with a 6-0 run on a pair of baskets by Lual Tharjiath and a basket from Trey Tassell. Tassell made it 23-12 with a free throw and Carroll had their biggest lead. ADM responded with a 5-0 run, pulling within 23-17 but Jared Mohr stopped the run with a three. Landon Petersen knocked down a three moments later and Carroll led 29-19. Carroll closed out the half with a 6-0 run with Jared Mohr scoring twice and Mac Collison beating the halfcourt buzzer for a 35-22 lead.
ADM opened the 3rd with three in a row before Lual Tharjiath scored to make it 37-25. A 4-0 run by ADM gave them momentum but Jared Mohr hit another three and Carroll pushed the lead to 40-29. A 9-0 ADM pulled them with two at 40-38 but Carroll held them off with Jared Mohr hitting another three and a pair of free throws. Carroll held a 47-42 lead heading into the 4th quarter on a bucket by Mac Collison. Collison started the 4th with a basket and Carroll led 49-42. ADM ran off a 4-0 run but Lual Tharjiath scored to put Carroll up 51-46. A pair of free throws from Trey Tassell extended the Tigers lead to 53-46. Tassell was clutch down the stretch, going 6-7 from the charity stripe. ADM pulled within 53-50 but Tassell extended it to 55-50. ADM was in full court pressure and wasn’t going away. They cut the Carroll lead to 55-53 with just over a minute remaining. Trey Tassell hit a pair of free throws after beating the ADM press and attacking the rim. Carroll beat ADM over the top for a Mac Collison layup, making it 59-53 and Trey Tassell sealed the win with a free throw with 0:10.1 left.
Jared Mohr and Mac Collison both had clutch baskets all game leading Carroll with 20-points and 16-points respectively. Mohr added 6 rebounds and Collison had 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Trey Tassell was clutch down the stretch, finishing with 10-points, Lual Tharjiath added 10-points with 3 blocks.
The win improves Carroll to 9-3 overall and 8-2 in the Raccoon River Conference. They will head to Gilbert Saturday to play Des Moines Christian on 93.7 KKRL.

Kuemper picked up their second blowout road win this week, cruising at Clarinda behind a huge offensive game from Griffin Glynn. The Knights shot over 52% from the field and nearly 45% from three. They had three players score in double figures with one more with 9-points. The Knights took charge during the 2nd quarter, outscoring Clarinda 19-8, then put the game away with a patented run in the 3rd quarter. Clarinda made a run in the 4th cutting into the Knights lead, outscoring them 26-17. The game was decided long before then as Kuemper earns their 12th win of the season.
Griffin Glynn exploded for 31-points on 10-18 shooting, going 7-11 from three and 4-6 from the free throw line. He added 6 rebounds. Ryan Clair controlled the paint with 16-points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots. Dylan Schon had a strong game with 12-points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Jack Badding scored 9-points and dished out 7 assists. Teddy Perkins added 4 assists.
Kuemper improves to 12-3 overall and will host Creston on Friday on KCIM.

Coon Rapids Bayard moved to 13-1 overall and stayed in control of the Rolling Valley Conference with a big win at home on Tuesday. The Crusaders held Exira-EHK to 13-points after the 1st quarter. They were in control by half, up 37-11 after scoring 23-points in the 1st quarter. Bryce Lewis hit a few clutch 3’s to spark their 1st quarter run and Caden Oswald, Ty Heydon and Cal Heydon were dominated on the inside and on the break. They finished the game with three players in double figures with Lewis finishing with 9-points. Coon Rapids Bayard shared the ball well with 19 assists.
Ty Heydon had a double-double with 11-points and 15 rebounds along with 3 steals. Cal Heydon added 20-points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks and Caden Oswald added 12-points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Bryce Lewis added 5 rebounds and 3 steals with his 9-points.
Coon Rapids Bayard sits 13-1 overall and 9-0 in the RVC. They head to IKM-Manning on Thursday on KKRL.

It took East Sac a little over a quarter to get their offensive rhythm as the defense kept them within striking distance early. The Raiders trailed 14-12 after the 1st quarter but led 36-32 at half. They used a late run to grab the lead after missing some good looks early. The Raiders trailed 28-19 with 4:00 left in the half. Weston Julin drove to the hoop a couple times, finishing for points and Kason Schroeder knocked down a couple 3’s to get the offense rolling.
Weston Julin was clutch in the 2nd half. He scored 13-points, getting most of them in the paint and at the rim. Zach Jacobsen got the Raiders into their offense, finishing with 5 assists. Carson Schmitt added a strong game on both ends of the floor, getting several steals, allowing for the Raiders to get easy buckets.
Weston Julin led the offensive attack with 20-points along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Zach Jacobsen added 16-points with 5 assists, Carson Schmitt had 6-points, 5 rebounds and 6 steals and Jordan Ulmer added 8-points. Kade Snyder had a nice night on the glass with 7 rebounds and Kason Schroeder added 6-points.
The Raiders improved to 3-8 overall and 3-3 in the TLC. They host MVAOCOU on KIKD On Thursday.

The game in Dunlap Tuesday was a physical contest and Glidden Ralston fell a little short, struggling down the stretch as Boyer Valley outscored them 17-9 in the 4th quarter to stretch their lead and win by 11. The Wildcats continue to push teams but one slow quarter has been an issue in several losses this season.
Glidden Ralston started slowly on Tuesday, not scoring for 5:00 to open the game. The defense did a nice job of clamping down on Boyer Valley, liming their scoring chances. Greyson Renze scored a pair of inside buckets for the Wildcats and they trailed 8-7 after the 1st quarter. The Wildcat grabbed a lead in the 2nd quarter but they couldn’t get on a run to stretch it as the game went back and forth. Boyer Valley ended the half on a mini-run, taking a 19-15 lead at half.
The Bulldogs opened the 3rd on a run, building a 10-point lead. Greyson Renze led the charge back for Glidden Ralston as they grabbed a 3-point lead late in the quarter but Boyer Valley hit a pair of 3’s to end the quarter up 33-30. Greyson Renze had 9-points in the 3rd for Glidden Ralston. The Wildcats tied the game at 35 early in the 4th but struggled to score the rest of the quarter as the Bulldogs went on to win 50-39.
Greyson Renze was tough for the Wildcats with 17-points and 12 rebounds, both team highs. Landon Rohrbeck added 7-points, Alex Daniel had 4 assists and Blayce Nelson made 4 steals.
Glidden Ralston slipped to 3-12 overall and will host Tri Center on Thursday.

IKM-Manning has won three in a row and five of their last six games as they blew the game open in the 3rd quarter and rolled to the win at LoMa. The Wolves had four players in double figures and two more with 7 and 6, showing a balanced offensive attack. They crept out to an 18-13 lead after the 1st quarter, edging away in the 2nd quarter to lead 33-20 at half. The Wolves took charge in the 3rd, sharing the ball well, finishing the game with 21 assists, leading to a 28-point 3rd quarter and a 61-33 lead. The defense was tough all game holding the Panthers to 13-points in the 1st and 3rd quarters and 7-points in the 2nd quarter.
Wyatt Danner had a strong offensive game with 21-points, Ben Ramsey added 13-points with 9 assists and 5 rebounds and Ashton Ahrenholtz added 12-points and 8 rebounds. Brock Kusel did it on both ends of the floor with 13-points and 3 blocked shots. Tyson Smith added 7-points with Luke Janssen scoring 6-points.
The Wolves improved to 8-5 overall and 6-5 in the WIC and will host Coon Rapids Bayard on Thursday on 93.7 KKRL.

The Titans won their second in a row and fourth in their last five games, improving to 7-7 overall and 3-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference. They built an early lead and held on, leading 14-6 after the 1st quarter and 31-16 at half. Pocahontas Area tried to rally in the 2nd half, outscoring south Central Calhoun 26-18 but the Titans did enough to hold on.
