Exira-EHK hosted IKM-Manning at Audubon High School Saturday afternoon. It is an annual matchup as this season IKM-Manning came in at 6-5 and Exira-EHK at 11-1 and ranked #8 in Class 1A. Both teams had similar looks early as the Spartans and Wolves both came out in a press with Exira dropping into a 2-3. Exira-EHK handled the pressure a little better early and jumped out to a 20-10 lead after 1. IKM-Manning settled in more as the game went on with them looking inside at Keagan Eischeid a lot. Exira-EHK’s offense was led by Jaelynn Petersen who had 13 in the first half to give the Spartans a double digit lead. The 2nd half was plenty of the same with Exira-EHK having one of their better offensive games and IKM-Manning being sped up. Exira-EHK would pick up the 68-44 win and have now won 12 straight after an 0-1 start. IKM-Manning drops to 6-6 on the season.
