South Central Calhoun built a 10-0 lead to start the game and led all the way, though Webster City made a run in the 4th, pulling within 6 with 2:30 left. The Titans shot the ball well with Evan Myers hitting 5-3’s and Garrett Krause 2-3’s. Krause made a big basket when the lead was down six late and made a couple big free throws. The Titans had a big 1st quarter, leading 25-10 but were outscored in the 2nd quarter. The lead remained in double digits until the 4th quarter as the Titans defense was sharp, forcing the Lynx miss a lot at the rim and getting their scorers in foul trouble.
Garrett Krause was huge early hitting a three to open the game, adding a pair of free throws and bucket to extend the lead to 14-0. Evan Myers had a bucket and a three during the opening run and Halas Steig made a pair of free throws. Evan Myers added a three late in the quarter, pushing the Titans lead to 20-4. Webster City went on a 6-0 run but Evan Myers closed the quarter on a 5-0 run with a three ending the quarter up 25-10. Webster City started the 2nd quarter went on a 5-0 run but Luke Patterson hit a pair of free throws to get the Titans on the board and the Titans went on a 12-4 run with Garrett Krause and Evan Myers teaming up to score all the points. They led 39-21 and held a 43-29 lead after the 3rd quarter. Evan Myers opened the 4th quarter with a three, putting the Titans up 46-29. The Titans led 49-35 before Webster City went to a half-court trap, going on a 8-0 run to pull within 49-43. Garrett Krause hit a bucket to stop the run, then added a pair of free throws to make it 53-43. Halas Steig ended the scoring with a free throw as the Titans won their second in a row.
Evan Myers had 23-points and team high 15 rebounds while Garrett Krause had 24-points along with 3 steals. Halas Steig and Cade Higgins each had 5 rebounds.
The Titans improved to 5-6 overall as they head to Humboldt on Tuesday.

Undefeated Coon Rapids-Bayard hosted Panorama on Tuesday night. The Panthers came in at 0-9 and were searching for their first win, while CRB was 10-0 and ranked #6 in Class 1A. The Crusaders did what they have done all season as they doubled up Panorama 22-11 after the 1st quarter. The Crusaders had big nights out of Cal and Ty Heydon, with Cal at 29 points, 8 rebounds, and Ty having 20 points and 7 rebounds. The Crusaders led 40-26 at the halftime break. The Crusaders had their best offensive quarter with 29 team points to separate themselves even more heading into the 4th. CRB closed the game in the 4th to pick up an 83-45 victory at home. The Crusaders take on another ranked opponent in Treynor Thursday night.
