East Sac struggled in their offensive set early as SE Valley was aggressive in their 2-3 zone, forcing the Raiders to start their offense deep. They worked the ball around the perimeter, struggling to get the ball inside. The Jaguars were able to penetrate the Raiders defense, getting shots in the lane, building a 16-6 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The Raiders tried to battle back in the 2nd quarter as Kason Schroeder hit a pair of 3’s, pulling them within 11-6 and 16-9. Zach Jacobsen hit a deep three and Jordan Ulmer hit a pair of free throws and East Sac trailed 22-14 midway through the 2nd quarter. SE Valley separated with an 11-0 run and went into halftime with a 37-16 lead. Jordan Ulmer broke the run with a base line jumper but that was the only points for East Sac over the final 4:00 of the quarter. The Jaguars started the 2nd half with a spurt, outscoring the Raiders 10-0 to lead 47-16. Kason Schroeder hit a three and Grayson Rubendall scored inside and East Sac pulled within 47-21 but the Jaguars answered with four in a row and the led 53-23 after the 3rd quarter. Kason Schroeder hit a pair of fourth quarter 3’s and Grayson Rubendall scored a pair of inside buckets but the Raiders were outscored 14-10 in the final stanza.
Kason Schroeder led the Raiders with 5-3’s, scoring 15-points with Grayson Rubendall adding 6-points and 9 rebounds. Carson Schmitt had 3 steals and Gabe King pulled down 5 rebounds.
The Raiders fell to 1-7 overall and will head to Emmetsburg on Friday.

Audubon boys got back into action Monday night with a home game against an out of conference team in Red Oak. The Wheelers came in at 4-5 on the season, looking to get back to .500 after the break. The Wheelers and Tigers came out hot offensively as both teams were within 3 of each other as Audubon took a 15-12 lead into the 2nd quarter. The Tigers flipped the script in the 2nd as they would maintain a 3 point differential to tie the game at 25 going into the halftime break. It would remain close in the 3rd as the Wheelers big guys in Austin Christensen and Brody Weber as well as Carson Wessel combined for 26 rebounds and gave the Wheelers a 2 point lead heading into the 4th. The Wheeler offense would explode for a big 24 point performance in the 4th quarter as Audubon would pick up the big 63-53 win at home. The Wheelers move to 5-5 on the season with Logan-Magnolia in town tomorrow.
