Glidden Ralston earned their second straight win, this time building an early lead with strong defense, getting out on the break and executing in the halfcourt offense. They led Exira-EHK 7-0 early and blew the game open with a dominant 2nd quarter. The Spartans pulled within three late in the 1st quarter with a 4-0 run but Glidden Ralston answered with a 14-0 run between the 1st and 2nd quarter.
Alex Daniel took control early as Glidden Ralston built their lead. He scored the games first-five points with Dawson Majerus making it a 7-0 lead. After Exira-EHK scored four in a row to pull within 10-7, Colton Rohrbeck hit a bucket, followed by baskets from Greyson Renze, Alex Daniel, Dawson Majerus, Alex Daniel, Majerus and Daniel again as the Wildcats went ahead 24-7. Daniel had 7-points in the 14-0 run along with dishing out a pair of assists. Glidden Ralston outscored Exira-EHK 25-8 in the 2nd quarter, taking a 37-15 lead into half.
The Wildcats offense kept rolling in the 3rd quarter, scoring 28-points. Greyson Renze scored the first-four points of the half for the Wildcats with Carson Peters draining a three, making it 55-23. The Wildcats built a 65-29 lead at the end of the 3rd with Colton Rohrbeck hitting a three to make it the game go into continuous clock. Both teams played a lot of their bench in the 4th quarter with the Spartans outscoring the Wildcats 14-4.
Glidden Ralston improved to 2-6 overall and will head to CAM on Tuesday.

The Titans had a game slip away down the stretch on Saturday, turning it over on six of their final eight possessions as MVAOCOU won a game that was full of runs. The Rams closed the game on a 10-3 run, using pressure defense over the final 2:30 to spark their rally. South Central Calhoun was balanced offensively but struggled to get looks inside, taking half their shots from outside the arc. MVAOCOU countered by attacking the lane and rim and pushing the ball when they could. Both teams sat in zone defenses all game, limiting the amount of possessions, putting extra significance on executing on the offensive end. The Titans led at half but were outscored 30-22 in the 2nd half, but still had a chance to tie or win the game late.
Cade Higgins scored the first-four points as the Titans went up 4-0. MVAOCOU answered with a 6-0 run but South Central Calhoun responded with an 11-0 run with Garrett Krause hitting a three to start it. Cade Higgins scored and Luke Patterson drilled a three, making it 13-6. The Rams pulled within 15-13 but Evan Myers ended their run with a three. He added a bucket to extend the Titans lead to 20-15. Cade Higgins kept the Titans up 22-17 but the Rams went on a 5-0 run to tie the game at 22. A Cade Higgins bucket and Halas Steig closed out the half with a three and the Titans led 27-22.
Charlie Nattress battled foul trouble in the 1st half and scored early in the 2nd half to give the Titans a 29-22 lead. MVAOCOU answered with a run again, outscoring the Titans 11-0 to lead 33-29. Garrett Krause hit a three but the Titans still trailed as the Rams built a 38-33 lead early in the 4th quarter. Evan Myers hit a three and Charlie Nattress put the Titans up 39-38 with a three. MVAOCOU answered with a pair of free throws and led 40-39. The Titans went back up 42-40 and Evan Myers scored, followed by a bucket from Garrett Krause and South Central Calhoun was up 46-42. The Rams began their rally with a full court press with 2:30 left, tying the game at 46, building a 50-46 lead. Garrett Krause drained a three for South Central Calhoun, pulling the Titans within 50-49. A pair of Rams free throws put them up 52-49 and Charlie Nattress nearly tied it with a three that almost went in. The Titans only had two shots over the final 2:30, turning it over on their other six possessions, falling by three.
The Titans were balanced on offense with Evan Myers scoring a team high 12-points and Garrett Kruase and Cade Higgins both having 11-points. Charlie Nattress finished with 9-points in limited minutes. Evan Myers and Cade Higgins each had 5 rebounds and Halas Steig had 6 assists and 3 steals. Evan Myers had 4 steals and Garrett Krause had 4 assists.
The Titans fell to 4-4 overall and will host OABCIG on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard earned a nice road win in the Rolling Valley Conference, slowly separating from Ar-We-Va before stretching their lead in the 3rd quarter and putting the game out of reach. The teams battled in the 1st quarter with Coon Rapids Bayard building a 20-11 lead. The Rockets offense struggled in the 2nd quarter but their defense kept them in striking distance, trailing 33-16 at half. The game blew open in the 3rd with Coon Rapids Bayard pouring in 29-points to lead 62-28 heading to the 4th quarter.
Coon Rapids Bayard had four players in double figures with Bryce Lewis and Caden Oswald leading them with 14-points each and Gavin Heiderscheit and Cal Heydon both scoring 10-points. They rebounded the ball well with Cal Heydon having a team high 9 rebounds with Ty Heydon adding 8 rebounds. Their defense intensity was the difference in the 2nd half as Ty Heydon had a team high 5 steals. Caden Oswald added 5 assists with Cal Heydon having 4 assists.
Wyatt Ragaller paced Ar-We-Va with 20-points to go with 8 rebounds. Jack Musfeldt added 8-points and Devon Ehlers and Grant Wilken both had 5 rebounds.
Coon Rapids Bayard moves to 7-0 overall and 50 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They host Boyer Valley on Tuesday. Ar-We-Va falls to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Rolling Valley. They host Missouri Valley on Tuesday.

Kuemper and Dowling faced off at Kuemper Catholic High School in the Catholic Classic Championship game. The Knights took down Bishop Heelan, while Dowling defeated Xavier to get to Day 2. The Knights got Dylan Schon back in the rotation, but faced an uphill battle with the #3 team in Class 4A. The Knights fell behind but kept it close early. The Maroons play a stoic, clean game, with long, methodical offensive sets and tough defensive pressure. The Maroons took a 10-6 lead after 1. The Knights came out stronger in the 2nd with some pressure of their own and were able to match the Maroons’ offense. Dowling had a 23-21 lead moving into the halftime break. The 3rd quarter showed really where Dowling makes their money, as they used a size-down low and hard defense to make an 18-3 run heading into the 4th. The Maroons played keep away in the 4th with long offensive sets that ended with free-throws or easy buckets while Kuemper sped up and had some good looks but the Knights would fall 50-36.
