Boys Wrestling Results Saturday, December 20th 

Kuemper At Carroll Invitational 

Carroll had an outstanding day at their tournament on Saturday with Kuemper showing well with the four wrestlers they brought. The Tigers had a pair of champions and four other guys finish in the top 3. They went 27-14 in matches wrestled with 18 win by fall, 6 decisions, 2 tech falls and a major decision. Carroll had two champs, two runner ups and a pair of guys take 3rd. Kuemper was 12-7 in matches wrestled with 9 wins by fall, 2 major decisions and a decision. They had two of their four guys finish in 3rd. Carroll won their tournament with 176-points, outscoring Westwood with 163-points. Kuemper was 10th with 54-points, tying with Pocahontas Area.

Carson Tedrow and Quinten Polking won titles for Carroll with Tedrow going 4-0 with a win by fall, tech fall, major decision and decision to win at 126-pounds and Polking with 3-0 with two wins by fall and  decision to earn the title at 215-pounds. Kieran Polking and Gavin Holt both went 2-1, taking 2nd place with both winning their two matches by fall. Michael Rowedder and Trevin Weber both finished in 3rd place. Rowedder was 3-1 with three wins by fall and Weber went 3-1 with two win by fall and a decision. Jake Kinkade finished 3-2 with two wins by fall and a decision.

Jarin Hoffman and Maguire Hoyt both took 3rd for Kuemper with Hoffman going 4-1 with two wins by fall and two by major decision. Hoyt finished 3-1 with all three of his wins by fall.

Audubon At Western Iowa Conference Tournament At LoMa 

The Wheelers had seven wrestlers at the Western Iowa Conference Tournament, taking 5th place with 106.5-points. They went 12-10 in matches wrestled with eight wins by fall, two major decisions, a tech fall and a decision. The Wheelers had a champion and two other wrestlers take 3rd place.

Leyton Elmquist continued his strong start to the season with a championship at 120-pounds. He went 3-0 with all three of his wins by fall. Jon Rasmussen was 3-1 with two wins by fall and a tech fall, taking 3rd place. Clayton VanAernam was 3rd, going 1-1 with his win by fall.

Dawson Allen and Evan Brockman had strong days for East Sac at the Paul Fuhrman Tournament at Cherokee on Saturday. They helped the Raiders score 51-points and finish in 11th place. East Sac went 12-12 in matches wrestled with six wins by fall, two by decision, two by tech fall and two by injury default.

Dawson Allen was the Raiders top finisher, taking 3rd place while going 3-1 with two wins by fall and a injury default. Evan Brockman went 4-2, finishing in 5th with two wins by fall, a tech fall and an injury default. Cal McCollough added a 2-2 afternoon with both of his wins by decision.
