Girls Wrestling Results for Friday, December 19th

Kuemper and East Sac at Carroll Tiger Invite

Carroll hosted a plethora of teams on Friday night for their home tournament. Kuemper and East Sac were the two other local teams in this meet. The Tigers have had a great season so far and have plenty of girls with hopes of a state meet berth. Kuemper has had the same aspirations throughout the season. East Sac has some young pieces to develop as the season progresses. The Tigers had a strong showing as they would beat out the Knights for 1st place by a score of 162.5 to 158.5. The Knights had an impressive night as well, with four first-place finishes and two second-place finishes. East Sac would have just one 2nd-place finish and one 3rd. Carroll would be the most complete team with 5 first-place finishes and 2 second-place finishes.

Carroll had Emma Daniels place first, going 2-0 with two wins by fall. Emma Grossman would follow the same suit with a record of 2-0 in matches wrestled with two wins by fall. Kamme Jones had the same night for the Tigers. Brianna Hernandez went 3-0 in matches wrestled with a tech-fall and two wins by decision. Alexis Esquivel would be Carroll’s final champion with two wins by fall and a medical forfeit win.

Kuemper had Cara Schuette take 1st with with two wins by fall. Anna Schuette took 1st with a win by decision and major decision. Sadie Smith picked up a 1st with a tech-fall and fall win. Madigan Hoyt was their final champion with a fall and decision.

East Sac had Aaleigha Tibbs-Kenneback take 2nd, winning by fall. Ella Wieck took 3rd with a win by fall.
