Boys Wrestling Results for Thursday, December 18th
Atlantic and Lewis Central at Kuemper
The Kuemper Knights Boys Wrestling team took on two very familiar programs in conference mates Atlantic and Lewis Central. This was a special meet as it is one of the final times the Knights will face Lewis Central as apart of the Hawkeye 10. The Knights hosted both schools and had two wrestlers go 1-1 at the end of the night. Beckett Wernimont would go 1-1 with a win by decision against Lewis Central. Maguire Hoyt picked up a win by fall against Lewis Central as well to go 1-1. The Knights have much youth in the lineup and with that a very close to full lineup which is a very positive direction for the program. The Knights have one more meet on Saturday before a much deserved Christmas break.

Carroll and Gilbert at North Polk
Carroll faced off on the road with Gilbert and N0rth Polk on Thursday night. The Tigers had a great start to the season and they saw some very good competition in their second to last meet before the break. The Tigers would pick up a win against Gilbert with plenty of good spots. The Tigers picked up 5 wins by fall during that dual with no losses by fall. Against North Polk it was a little more split with Carroll picking up 3 wins by fall and giving up one. The Tigers would give up three major decisions and two decisions which is where North Polk was able to strike. The Tigers would fall 36 to 25 to the Comets to finish the night 1-1. In matches wrestled Kaden Kral went 1-0 with a win by decision. Gavin Holt went 1-0 with a win by fall. Quinten Polking went 2-0 with two fall victories. Kieran Polking would go 1-0 with a fall as well.
