Ar-We-Va    53

Ar-We-Va hosted CAM in a Rolling Valley Conference matchup on Tuesday night. CAM got out to a slow start on the season as they came in at 0-3. Ar-We-Va started off on the right foot at 4-2. This game was very back and forth for both teams. Both teams would make runs but in the first half the Rockets had an answer for almost everything the Cougars had. They would almost everytime match them 2 for 2 or 3 for 3. The Rockets barely escaped the 1st with the lead at 11-10. In the 2nd, the Rockets really found their stride offensively. Wyatt Ragaller and Derek Thomsen were the two main guys scoring the ball for Ar-We-Va. Everyone in the starting 5 made a big impact if it was rebounding or defense as well. The Rockets made a jump to go up 29-21 at the break. Wyatt Ragaller would have a great second half as he was the leader the Rockets have seen time in and time out. Ar-We-Va would hold a 5 point lead into the 4th. During the final 8 minutes, the Cougars got hot. They hit plenty of threes and Ar-We-Va could match only so many. At the end the Rockets trailed by 1. Wyatt Ragaller hit two free-throws to take the lead. Kayden Winther found himself open for the Cougars to nail a corner 3 for a 2 point lead. Wyatt Ragaller got fouled once again and made 1 of 2 to trail 1 before the Rockets fouled twice with 4 seconds. Ragaller got the rebound and had to fire up a halfcourt heave which fell short. The Rockets would fall 54-53 and fall to 4-3 on the season.
