East Sac nearly battled back from a slow start but fell short in their rally in the 3rd quarter and Pocahontas Area pulled away late in the 3rd and cruised to a win over the Raiders. The Raiders pulled within 38-26 in the 3rd and had a few possessions with a chance to get the game within single digits midway through the 3rd. They didn’t score and Pocahontas Area went on a 14-4 run to put the game away.
Kade Snyder put the Raiders on the board with a bucket inside, pulling them within 4-2. Pocahontas Area used a 6-0 run to lead 10-2. A Beckem Kluver 3 made it 10-5. He added a free throw and a late 3 but the Raiders were down 19-9 going to the 2nd quarter. The Raiders defense struggled to stop the dribble penetration and Indians won the battle inside. The Indians opened the 2nd quarter with a 7-0 run and led 26-9 but East Sac fought back. Carson Schmitt hit a three, Jordan Ulmer and Zach Jacobsen hit back-to-back baskets and East Sac was down 28-16. The lead hung around 12-15 points the rest of the half and East Sac trailed 34-21 at half.
Carson Schmitt hit an early 3 in the 2nd half and East Sac was down 35-24. Pocahontas Area answered with a 3 but Jordan Ulmer hit a pair of free throws to pull them within 12. The Raiders had a couple chances to get the game to single digits but weren’t able to score and Pocahontas Area went on a 14-4 run, putting the game away. They led by as many as 27-points in the 4th quarter.
Carson Schmitt had 11-points with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jordan Ulmer had 10-points and 7 rebounds, Grayson Rubendall had 9 rebounds and Beckem Kluver had 7-points.
The loss drops the Raiders to 1-3 as they prepare to host Denison Schleswig on Tuesday.

The Titans came out slow and the Jags took advantage for a 14-3 lead after 1. In the 2nd the Titans added more offense but still trailed 34-12 after. The Titans slowed to a hault in the 3rd as they would fall behind 48-16. The Titans would fall 65-20 and fall to 2-3 on the season.
