Girls Wrestling Results Saturday, December 13th

Carroll At Western Iowa Tournament At West Monona

Carroll finished 2nd in a three team tournament due to the weather on Saturday, scoring 124-points with four individual champions. The Tigers went 14-13 in matches wrestled with 13 wins by fall and a decision.

Alexis Esquivel, Maggie Dirkx, Emma Grossman and Emma Daniels all won titles for Carroll with all four going 2-0. All four girls won both of their matches by fall. Esquivel was the champion at 105-pounds, Dirkx at 135-pounds, Grossman 190-pounds and Daniels at 235-pounds. Carley Jacobsen went 2-1 with both of her wins by fall.

Audubon At Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic

The Wheelers took five wrestlers to a tournament that featured 36 teams from Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri. They finished 23rd with 146-points, having a very strong performance. Audubon went 22-15 in matches wrestled with 18 wins by fall, 2 by major decision, a decision and a medical forfeit. Three of the girls finished in the top 8 of their weight class.

Macy Rasmussen and Elena Harbour both finished in 5th place with Rasmussen going 7-1 with 6 wins by fall and a major decision and Harbour finishing 6-2 with 5 wins by fall and a medical forfeit. Mackayla Zuniga was 3-3, taking 8th place with all 3 of her wins by fall. Laura McCarville went 3-4 and Jordan Mulford finished 3-5. McCarville had a win by fall, a major decision and a decision with Mulford winning all 3 of her wins by fall.
