Coon Rapids-Bayard   69

Glidden-Ralston     33

Coon Rapids-Bayard hosted Glidden-Ralston Friday night. The Wildcats came in at 0-4 on the season while the Crusaders were on the flipside at 4-0 and leading the Rolling Valley conference standings. Cal Heydon of CRB needed 3 rebounds in the matchup to break the all-time rebounds record for a career. The game started off very different than the records show as CRB’s offense was slowed down and the Wildcats knocked down 4 threes. The Crusaders still managed a 17-14 lead after 1. The Wildcats did not back down at all as they would come out and get a bucket to cut the lead to 17-16. CRB would go on a 20-2 run to close the 2nd quarter and be up 37-18 at the half. CRB would dominate the ball movement and defensive aspect of the game. The Crusaders moved from a 1-3-1 to man to man during the 2nd and it helped. In the 3rd, the Crusaders would add another 22 and give up just 12. CRB would pull the starters in the 4th as they would pick up the 69-33 victory.
