Girls Wrestling Results Saturday, December 6th
Carroll, East Sac, Kuemper and South Central Calhoun At Audubon Tournament
It was a strong day for the area teams with four of the five in the top 8 of the team standings. Audubon paced the local teams, finishing in 5th with 110-points. The Wheelers went 13-19 in matches wrestled with six wrestlers placing. They had all 13 of their wins by fall. Kuemper was 6th overall with 101-points, going 18-15 in matches wrestled with 12 wins by fall, 3 major decisions and 3 decisions. The Knights had six girls place. Carroll went 13-14 in matches wrestled, finishing in 7th place with 100- points. The Tigers had 12 wins by fall and a decision. Five Tigers would place. South Central Calhoun finished in 8th with 95-points, going 16-13 in matches wrestled with 14 wins by fall and a pair of decisions. The Titans had four girls place. East Sac was 20th with 10-points. They went 2-12 in matches wrestled with both wins coming by fall and one girl placing.
Macy Rasmussen led Audubon, earning the championship at 115-pounds. She went 4-0 with all four of her wins by fall. Mackayla Zuniga finished in 2nd place, going 1-1 in her win by fall, Laura McCarville was 2-1 with both wins by fall, finishing in 3rd place.
Rylie Massey and Madigan Hoyt led Kuemper with both going 3-1. Hoyt had two wins by fall and a major decision while Massey earned two wins by fall and a decision. Massey earned 2nd place with Hoyt in 3rd place. Riley Sommerfeld took 2nd place, going 2-1 with a major decision and a decision. Sadie Smith went 2-1 with a win by fall and a decision, finishing in 3rd place. Lucy Potthoff went 3-1 with all three wins by fall and Cara Schuette was 2-2 with a win by fall and a major decision, earning 6th place.
Alexi Esquivel won a title for Carroll at 100-pounds. She went 2-0 with both of her wins by fall. Kamee Jones went 3-1 with two wins by fall and a decision, finishing in 3rd place. Emma Grossman, Emma Daniels and Destiney Riesselman all went 2-1 with all of their wins by fall. Grossman ended in 2nd place with Daniels in 3rd and Riesselman taking 5th place.
Emery Kramer was dominant for South Central Calhoun, going 4-0 with all four wins by fall, earning a title at 110-pounds. Goldie Davis was 2-1, finishing in 2nd place with a win by fall and a decision. Bella Dorsey went 3-1 with all three wins by fall, finishing in 5th place, Quinn Maschke went 2-1 with both wins by fall.
Sophia Villegas of East Sac was 2-2 with both wins by fall, leading the Raiders with a 6th place finish.
