Boys Wrestling Results Friday, December 5th
Kuemper At Humboldt Tournament
Kuemper didn’t take all their wrestlers on Friday with some of their top guys holding off before they start their season. The Knights wrestled with eight guys, going 9-22 in matches wrestled with 4 wins by fall, a tech fall, 3 decisions and a medical forfeit. They had three guys finish in 4th place and one guy in 5th place. Some younger wrestlers gained some valuable experience with several picking up their first varsity win. Head Coach Shane Vaughan says they learned some things they need to improve on and also took away some positive things that guys did well. Kuemper scored 57.5-points, finishing in 8th place. Humboldt won their tournament with 245.5-points with Eagle Grove in 2nd place with 214-points.
Beckett Wernimont, Joe Klein and Will Atherton all went 2-2 to lead the Knights. Klein had a win by fall and a decision, Atherton had a tech fall and a decision and Wernimont had a fall and a medical forfeit. Klein and Atherton both finished in 4th with Wernimont in 5th place. Kaleb Stoker and Mason Vonnahme both went 1-2 with Stoker earning a win by fall and Vonnahme getting a win by decision.
The Knights head to CAM on Tuesday.
