Denison-Schleswig at Kuemper

Kuemper      91

Denison-Schleswig   26

Kuemper Boys Basketball tipped off the 2025-26 season on their home court against Denison-Schleswig. The Knights were on the doorstep of the State Tournament a year ago and returned plenty of talent to the lineup. Kuemper opened up the game on a 14-0 run. The Knights ran a trap press and had plenty of fun getting back into the game speed. The Knights were sound on defense and had plenty of success on offense on the way to a 25-12 1st quarter. 2nd quarter was where a little bit of offensive struggle but still managed to lead 43 to 21 at the halftime break. Second half was way more fun to watch as Kuemper showed their athleticism and speed like last season. Brock Badding had two fast break dunks and transition and Griffin Glynn had one. Plenty of other Knights came out and had easy fast break layups. Badding and Clair had 6 and 7 rebounds to lead the Knights. All of the starters were pulled by the end of the 3rd as the Knights had a 33-3 scoring masterclass in the 3rd. The 4th became a lot slower game as both teams had backups and reserves playing. Teddy Perkins came off the bench and had 9 points for the Knights. Kuemper picked up a 91-26 victory on a 48-5 run during the second half. Offensively and defensively the Knights are picking up where they left off last regular season as they have plenty of competition in this next week.
