IKM-Manning girls hosted Panorama on Thursday evening. The Wolves were hot off of their first win of the season over Tri-Center. Panorama on the other hand fell to Woodward-Granger Tuesday in their season opener. Panorama was able to open up the game with a bucket and a stop before Oriah Meiners got a steal and easy layup to tie the game at 2-2. The game would go back and forth for the rest of the 1st with Keagan Eischeid getting a bucket, Karlee Arp got one and Anna Stangl had 5 as the Wolves and Panthers were tied at 13 a piece after 1. Panorama opened the 2nd with a three. Oriah Meiners cut the lead back to one with a layup as well. Anna Stangl got a bucket after that to take the lead at 18-16. The Wolves held a lead until a 22-22 tie before the half. The Panthers went on a 7-4 run to end the quarter up 29-24. After the halftime break, the Panthers got two quick buckets and got up 34-24 than 39-28 with their largest lead of the game at 11. Keagan Eischeid got a pair of free-throws to cut the lead to 9. Anna Stangl got a bucket before the quarter to make it 42-32 going into the 4th. In the 4th it was back and forth. Anna Stangl hit a free-throw and than a three and another free-throw to make it 44-37. Keagan Eischeid hit a layup as well to than move within 5. The Wolves between a Keagan Eischeid layup and Anna Stangl three made it a one point game with under half the 4th to go. Panorama and IKM-M traded threes and than Keagan Eischeid took the lead with a layup. The lead would bounce around twice at 52-51 for Panorama and than 53-52 IKM-M. The Wolves cleaned out the game with two Ella Langel and Anna Stangl free-throws to pick up a 57-53 win. Anna Stangl finished the game with 26 points. Keagan Eischeid added 19 points as well. Karlee Arp did not fill up the stat sheet but held Panorama’s number one scorer to 0 points when she guarded her and forced a huge turnover late in the game. The Wolves move to 2-1 on the season with a ranked Riverside matchup on Friday.

Coon Rapids-Bayard had their second game of the season as they took on Woodward-Granger. CRB was coming off of a loss to Kuemper last week and was looking for a big bounce back game. Both teams came out to a slow start with a lot of solid defense being played. Coon Rapids-Bayard went up 11-5 after 1. 7 Girls would play for the Crusaders with Anna Hart and Malia Clayburg both scoring in double digits. The 2nd was even more of a defensive game as Woodward-Granger would outscore CRB 6-5. They trailed 16-11 at the halftime break. CRB would explode defensively as they would have a 13-4 3rd quarter to be up 29-15. The 4th was smooth sailing as they would have their largest scoring quarter at 17-15 and pick up the 46-30 win.
