Audubon traveled to Marengo for their Quarterfinals matchup with the chance to go to the dome on the line. Iowa Valley stood in their way to make a 4-5 matchup. It was also a matchup of two undefeated teams who were more than capable of winning a state title. The game started with Iowa Valley on the receiving end. Nolan Kriegel dropped back to pass on their first play to find Layne Peska. Peska would find the seam and take it 65 yards for an opening drive score. The Tigers would miss an extra point and go up 6-0. The Wheelers would march back down and have a 4th and long from 32 yards out of the endzone. Aiden Kjergaard would fire a back shoulder beauty to Austin Christensen in the endzone to get a score of their own. The Wheelers would get the 2-PT as well to make it 8-0 in their favor. Audubon’s defense would stand tall and force a punt to regain possession in the 1st quarter. Aiden Kjergaard would find a seem on the second play to get another touchdown and go up 14-6 to end the 1st quarter. Aiden Kjergaard in the 2nd quarter would find the endzone yet again and the Wheelers would take control to go up 20-6. The rest of the quarter would be defense and the Wheelers would take a 20-6 lead into the half. Audubon got the second half kick and would march down the field. Kjergaard would find Austin Christensen again to go up 26-6. The Tigers in the 3rd would have Nolan Kriegel score twice and cut the lead to 7 into the 4th. Last two drives of the fourth went with Audubon punting. Hayden Larsen had a snap go over his head and barely got a punt off but it got down to the 20 with 2:00 to go. Final play was a 4th and 10 from the 15 for the Tigers. Kriegel would drop back and be sacked by Hayden Larsen as time expires. The Wheelers prevailed 26-19 and now face Bishop Garrigan in the Semifinals at the dome.
