Brianna Wittrock had a kill and a block to put Kuemper up 25-24 but Red Oak closed the set with a 3-0 run to win 27-25.

The lead grew to 9-4 as Kuemper took command. A Brianna Wittrock kill made it 13-6 and a kill and ace back-to-back by Elsa Tiefenthaler made it 15-9. The lead grew to 22-13 as Red Oak struggled to get the ball over the net and were out of sync offensively. The Knights won set three 25-16 on a kill by Kolbi Peter and led 2-1.
