Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: East Sac Boys Compete At State Cross Country

Boys State Cross Country Results Saturday, November 1st 

East Sac At State- Class 1A

Riley Aragon  had a strong last mile and a half to lead East Sac and Medal at the State Cross Country meet on Saturday afternoon on a cool and windy day. The Raiders finished 8th out of 16 teams with 231-points, just behind Louisa Muscatine in 7th with 228-points. The Raiders weren’t too far away from being in the top 5 with Springville taking 5th with 225-points. Aragon was able to work his way through a crowded field, passing several runners in the final 100-meters to finish 15th, earning his medal with a 16:49.6. Landon Sporrer started strong and ran with the top group for the first mile to mile and a half, finishing 30th in 17:09.5. Owen Engel was the third runner for East Sac, taking 52nd with a 17:37.4.
