Girls State Cross Country Qualifying Meet Results Thursday, October 23rd

South Central Calhoun At Eagle Grove- Class 2A

Iris Melody of South Central Calhoun will make her third trip to the State Cross Country Meet on Friday, October 31st as she finished 10th on Thursday at the qualifying meet in Eagle Grove. Melody ran a 21:33.74 to punch her ticket. Jossa Haupert added a 42nd place finish for the Titans, wrapping up a strong Junior campaign and Abigail Kistenmacher took 56th in her freshman season. The Titans ran just three runners so no team score. Van Meter won the team race with 53-points and Dike New Hartford was 2nd with 66-points. Laura Streck of Van Meter was the individual champ, running a 19:31.40 with Eva Fleshner of Woodward Granger in 2nd with a 20:06.84.

IKM-Manning At ACGC- Class 1A

IKM-Manning ran a very strong race on Thursday at ACGC against a loaded field. The Wolves were 4th with 136-points, running one of their better meets of the season. Addisyn Bandow was their top finisher, running a 22:53.10 and finishing in 23rd. They ran well as a group behind her with Annabell Blum 37th with a 23:47.30 and Alexis Olson was 38th, running a 23:47.90. Kori Beckendorf added a 42nd finish. Newell Fonda won the meet with 42-points, Tri Center was 2nd with 47-points. Lili Denton of St Albert won the meet with a 17:36.60 and was followed by Allysen Johnsen of LoMa with a 19:47.50.
