The Audubon Wheelers hosted the Woodbine Tigers in the second round of the 2025 postseason. What a second round matchup as well. Both teams sat right around .500 and looked very competitive on paper. The winner of this matchup would face the winner of the St. Albert and Exira-EHK matchup on Monday. Set 1 started out competitive as Harlow Miller would get a block and a kill to put the Wheelers up 3-0. The Tigers would cut it to 3-2 before yet another Audubon would dominate in the middle of the set as Harlow Miller and Anna Larsen would carry the load on offense early. The Wheelers would win Set 1, 25-9 in dominant fashion. The energy was high and you could see the smiles on the coaches and players faces all night. Set 2 would be far tighter as the Tigers found their footing. It was back and forth being tied 4 times before either team got to 6. Woodbine would go on a 5-0 run to make it 10-5. The Wheelers used a timeout at 7-5 and got things regrouped before yet another run by the Tigers made it 18-10. Audubon would go on a 6-0 run as Harlow Miller would get a kill and Anna Larsen would get an ace to cut the lead to 2 points. The Wheelers would regain the lead at 20-19 as Lucy Stanerson would get her first kill and Riley Miller would add a kill as well. The match would than stall as it was tied at 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25. The Tigers would get a a kill from Isabell Crook and than a short miss from the Wheelers to win Set 2, 27-25. Set 3 would be once again a super tightly contested battle but Harlow Miller would score 3 of the first 4 points for the Wheelers to have a 3-1 lead. Miller would total around 9 or 10 kills in Set 3 alone as the Wheelers would maintain a steady lead late to win Set 3, 25-18. Set 4 was where the fun began for the Audubon Wheelers. Of the first 7 points, 5 of them would be kills from Harlow Miller. The Wheelers would go up big in the middle of Set 4. Lucy Stanerson would block an attack from Woodbine and Harlow Miller would get her 31st kill to close out the match. The Wheelers would win 3-1 and now travel to St. Albert on Monday.

Exira-EHK had St. Albert in their second round matchup. St. Albert and Exira-EHK both came in just around .50o. Exira-EHK comes out of the Rolling Valley while St. Albert is a Hawkeye 10 team. The winner of this matchup would have the winner of Audubon and Woodbine. Set 1 would be close early but St. Albert would find a lead and hold on for a 25-16 victory. Taryn Petersen would step up for the Spartans as she would have a 13 Kill and 11 Dig performance. Set 2 would be a bigger gap as the Saintes would start up and stay up for a 25-14 win. Set 3 would be the largest margin of victory as St. Albert would win 25-8 and pick up the 3-0 sweep. Exira-EHK finishes the season at 13-13 and 2nd in the RVC.

Coon Rapids-Bayard and Glidden-Ralston faced off in Round 2 of the 2025 volleyball postseason. Both teams are very familiar with each other as they faced off in the regular season and just recently saw each other play in the Rolling Valley Conference tournament last Saturday. The Crusaders came out early in Set 1 and got their momentum going. Malia Clayburg repeated what she has done time in and time out this season as she would total 26 kills on the night. Amelia Cook would get 42 assists as well. The offense was rolling and the Crusaders would win Set 1, 25-11. Set 2, the Crusaders would get up 18-7 before the Wildcats would rally. The Crusaders lone the less would score 5 straight at the end to win 25-16. Set 3 would be where the Crusaders clicked as they would get the offense rolling once again to win 25-6. Glidden-Ralston ends the season 7-18. CRB will now host West Bend Mallard or Newell-Fonda on Monday

IKM-Manning settled in and took control of the match midway through set three on their way to a 3-1 win against a good Kingsley Pierson team in the Class 1A Region 5 Quarterfinals. The first-two sets were tight but didn’t have many ties or lead changes. Kingsley Pierson led 1-0 in set one but IKM-Manning went ahead 2-1 and never trailed. It was only tied at 13 and again at 23 but the Wolves held the lead, which grew to 21-16 at its largest. Set two was similar but it flipped as IKM-Manning went up 1-0 and Kingsley Pierson took a 2-1 lead as IKM-Manning had to chase all set. The Wolves tied it at 3, 7, 18 and 21 before taking a brief lead. The Wolves were two points away from taking a 2-0 lead but the Panthers responded with a 3-0 run and went on to win 26-24. The third set featured the most ties and lead changes with eight ties and three lead changes but IKM-Manning went on a run after taking a 14-13 lead and rolled to a 25-16 win. The final set was similar with seven ties and three lead changes but IKM-Manning never trailed after getting a 14-13 lead.
Keagan Eishceid was incredible early for the Wolves as they adjusted to the slower tempo of the Panthers. She had three early kills to give the Wolves a 5-2 lead. IKM-Manning stretched it to 10-6 and then Addisyn Bandow got going on the outside. Bandow kept the Wolves with a four point lead with kills to make it 12-8 and 14-10. The Panthers kept fighting back and tied the set at 13 but IKM-Manning never lost the lead and Caylie Rasmussen served an ace to push their lead to 15-13. A Keagan Eischeid kill was followed by a Karlee Arp kill and an ace from Eischeid and the Wolves led 18-14. They went up 21-16 and appeared to be in control but Kingsley Pierson stormed back within 21-19 and after a Addisyn Bandow kill they tied the set at 23. Keagan Eischeid had back-to-back kills and IKM-Manning won 25-23.
Set two was the opposite of set one with Kingsley Pierson taking the early lead and Katelyn Bandow and Keagan Eischeid tying it at 3 with a kill each. The Wolves couldn’t get the lead as the Panthers appeared to always have an answer for the Wolves runs. Addisyn Bandow tied it at 7 but the Wolves fell down by three and then went down 13-8. The lead stayed around three to four points until the Wolves got an ace from Keagan Eischeid and a point from Karlee Arp. The Wolves were down 15-14 but couldn’t tie it until 18. The Panthers had a 3-0 run to go up 21-18 but IKM-Manning answered with five in a row to lead 23-21 after a kill from Keagan Eischeid. Kingsley Pierson didn’t back down and responded with a 3-0 run to get set point. IKM-Manning tied it at 24 but fell 26-24.
Both teams wanted set three as it went back and forth with six ties and a lead change by the time it was 8-7 IKM-Manning. The Wolves went up three but Kingsley Pierson rallied to take a 13-12 lead. The Wolves got back-to-back kills from Macy Gruhn and went ahead for good at 14-13. Olivia Linde closed out the set with a pair of aces on a 6-0 run, ending it with her second ace.
Kingsley Pierson took a 4-1 lead to start set four but IKM-Manning went on a 6-0 run and lead 7-4. The Panthers tied it again at 7 and grabbed a 11-10 lead. Their lead grew to 13-11 but Anna Stangl served a point and Addisyn Bandow had back-to-back kills, giving the Wolves the lead for good at 14-13. A Caylie Rasmussen ace helped seal it for Kuemper up 23-18 and the Wolves went on to win 25-19 to advance.
Addisyn Bandow had a team high 19 kills to go with 5 digs while Keagan Eischeid added 17 kills with 9 digs, 3 blocks and 2 aces. Ella Langel contributed a strong 8 kills with Karlee Arp dishing out 41 assists to go with 8 digs. Anna Stangl lead a strong back row effort on serve receive to go with 9 digs. Olivia Linde had 9 digs and 3 aces.
The Wolves improved to 28-8 on the season and will travel to West Monona on Monday after they swept Woodbury Central.

East Sac earned a reverse sweep on Wednesday to advance past Ridge View in the Class 2A Region 7 Quarterfinals. The Raiders dropped the first-two sets as they battled injuries and illness. They showed grit and heart and fought back to win set three by eight, then edged past Ridge View in sets four and five, winning them both by two points. The Raiders got gutsy performances from Katelyn Schmitt who led them with 11 kills and Sarah Bontrager, who has been incredible in the back row recently. She finished with 36 digs. East Sac began to force the action in set three, getting Ridge View out of rhythm, which led to Raptors making several errors. That momentum for East Sac carried over and they used it to squeeze out a 26-24 win in set four. The pressure switched to Ridge View in the fifth set and East Sac continued to dig almost everything the Raptors hit. It still was a tight set before East Sac pulled out a 16-14 win.
Jordin Carroll was outstanding for the Raiders with 36 assists, 21 digs while Sarah Bontrager had a team high .154 kill efficiency, helping her end with 6 kills to go with her 36 digs. Katelyn Schmitt had a team high 11 kills along with 19 digs, Reese Aschinger had 7 kills and 2 blocks, Miranda Gerdes added 9 kills and Emerson Ludwig finished with 10 kills and 6 digs to go with 3 aces. Tori Hauser added 17 digs.
The Raiders improved to 17-14 and will head to Aplington Parkersburg on Monday.

The season came to an end for South Central Calhoun in the Quarterfinals of the Class 2A Region 2 brackets on Wednesday. The Titans fought hard against 2nd ranked Dike New Hartford, hitting .145, led by Sadie Wheelock with a .267 kill efficiency. Three Titans had kills during the match as Dike New Hartford was able to use a balanced offensive attack.
Olivia Wiese had a team high 8 kills for the Titans with Sadie Wheelock adding 6 kills. Morgan McChesney had a team high 7 digs with Sydney Stuart adding 6 digs with her 15 assists.
The Titans season came to an end at 11-30.
