A pair of 4th quarter touchdowns extended IKM-Manning’s lead as they pulled away for a comfortable win to finish the regular season 6-2 and 3rd in Class A District 8. The Wolves didn’t punt the ball, finishing with 145-yards rushing and 233-yards passing. They held West Monona to 163-yards rushing and 60-yards passing, forcing them to punt twice. IKM-Manning scored in the 1st quarter and led 21-8 at half. The game was scoreless in the 3rd before IKM-Manning scored twice in the final stanza to put the game away.
Ben Ramsey finished an 8-play drive, scoring on a 1-yard run with 8:00 left in the 1st quarter, giving IKM-Manning a 7-0 lead. Both teams moved the ball the rest of the quarter but nobody scored the rest of the quarter. That changed as the Wolves were driving late in the 1st quarter and scored early in the 2nd quarter with a 3-yard run by Davis Rasmussen, extending the lead to 14-0 with 10:57 left in the half. West Monona responded with a 9-play 80-yard drive, scoring with 6:00 left in the half and pulling within 14-8. The Wolves did a nice job of answering, scoring before the end of the half with Ben Ramsey finding Wyatt Danner for a 34-yard touchdown pass with 2:46 left, taking a 21-8 lead into half.
The 2nd half was tight in the 3rd quarter but IKM-Manning put the game away with a pair of touchdowns over the final 8:52. Ben Ramsey started the scoring hitting Wyatt Danner for a 19-yard touchdown with 8:52 left, capping a 6-play 65-yard drive. Ramsey ended the scoring with a 55-yard pass to Wyatt Danner with 5:57 left.
The Wolves were led by Ben Ramsey through the air, going 11-21 for 233-yards with 3 touchdowns. Wyatt Danner caught 6 passes for 176-yards, scoring 3 touchdowns. Davis Rasmussen had 86-yards rushing on 18-carries with a touchdown. Jon Rasmussen made 9.5 tackles with 6 solo.
