Kuemper earned a nice win over a ranked team on the road, topping Sergeant Bluff Luton in four sets. The Knights rallied to win the last three sets after falling in the opening set. The match featured 11 lead changes and 23 ties with three of the four sets being decided by five points or less. Kuemper served the ball extremely well, finishing with 15 aces. Their back row came on strong midway through the first set, helping them contain the Warriors attack.
Brianna Wittrock had a pair of kills early in set one as the Knights took a 2-1 lead. The Warriors rallied as both teams used early runs to grab leads, which changed four times with Kuemper taking an 11-10 lead. Sergeant Bluff Luton went ahead and led 3-2 and 4-2 before Kuemper scored five in a row with Kolbi Peter having an ace to put the Knights up 6-4. The lead grew to 7-4 but the Warriors went on a 6-2 run, taking a 10-9 lead. Mariah Heuton tied the set at 10 and Kuemper went up 11-10. Kaylie Simons put the Knights on a service run, giving Kuemper a 14-10 lead with an ace. Sergeant Bluff Luton went on a 9-0 run and looked like they would put the set away, up 20-14 but Kuemper pulled within 22-20 with Brianna Wittrock having back-to-back aces. The Warriors finished the set on a 3-0 run to win 25-20.
Kuemper jumped out 2-0 in set two but Sergeant Bluff Luton hung close. Addy Anthofer made it 5-3 Kuemper and her second kill pushed it to 7-4. Riley Sommerfeld served an ace and the Knights were up 8-4. Sergeant Bluff Luton pulled within 10-8 but Kuemper responded with Mia Milligan having a pair of aces, extending the lead to 13-8. A Brianna Wittrock kill made it 16-10 and the Knights maintained the lead at 6-8 points the rest of the set, winning 25-17 for the biggest win by either team all night.
Set three was fantastic volleyball with 14 ties and 9 lead changes. The set was tied at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 early. Kuemper extended their lead to 10-8 and 12-9 but Sergeant Bluff Luton tied it at 12 and 13 and took their second lead at 14-13. Addy Anthofer had back-to-back kills, putting Kuemper up 15-14. The Warriors responded, taking a 18-17 lead, extending it to 20-17. Mia Milligan had back-to-back aces again, tying the set at 20. Mariah Heuton had a kill and Kuemper went up 21-20. The Warriors scored two straight and led 22-21. The Knights tied it at 22 and 23 and Elsa Tiefenthaler put them up 23-23 with an ace. Kolbi Peter ended the set with a kill and Kuemper led 2-1.
The fourth set was the only set that didn’t feature at least a tie. The Knights started strong with Kolbi Peter having a pair of kills and Elsa Tiefenthaler having an ace, making it 4-0. A Kolbi Peter added an ace and Kuemper extended the led to 8-2. Sergeant Bluff Luton pulled within 10-7 but Mariah Heuton and Kolbi Peter had a few kills and Kuemper led 13-7. The Warriors pulled with 13-12 but Brianna Wittrock stopped the run with a kill and Addy Anthofer added a kill, making it 15-12. Kuemper maintained the led and answered every Sergeant Bluff Luton run, as they within 20-19. The Knights went up 23-20 and the match ended with back-to-back aces from Kaylie Simons to end the match at 25-20.
Kolbi Peter led the offensive attack with 13 kills, Mariah Heuton had 110 kills and Brianna Wittrock added 10 kills. Kaylie Simons had a team high 35 digs and 3 aces. Elsa Tiefenthaler added 40 assists, 9 digs and 4 aces. Brianna Wittrock finished with 7 digs and 3 aces, Mia MIlligan added 12 digs and 4 aces.
Kuemper moved to 28-2 overall and host Saydel on Tuesday in Class 3A postseason action.

Carroll hosted Boone to close out the regular season. It was the Tigers senior night as well so a very big night f0r the Tigers. Boone came in at 8-13 on the season while the Tigers were hot off of a win at Carlisle and sat at 15-18 on the year. The Tigers honored Aubrie Drake, Reese Heller, Amanda Wardell, and Landon Mrla. The Tigers and Toreadors were neck and neck throughout Set 1. Both teams fought for the edge until Carroll would get a two-point run to close out Set 1, 25-23. The Tigers with a big win early and their home crowd behind them would roll in Set 2 for a 25-19 victory. The Tigers were led by big nights from Analia Ayala and Amanda Wardell. Ayala would have 14 Kills and 16 Digs while Wardell had 16 Kills and 10 Digs along with 4 Aces. The Tigers would use those big nights in Set 3 to win the Set and Match, 25-18. The Tigers close out senior night with a 3-0 sweep to move to 16-18 on the year and end the regular season on a two game conference win streak. Carroll will travel to take on OABCIG in their postseason opener.

South Central Calhoun was at Newell-Fonda for a triangular with Sioux Central as well. The Titans and Mustangs faced off in match one of the triangular. The Titans came in at 8-23 on the year while Newell-Fonda came in at 12-12. The Titans were looking to set themselves up for a good night as they started off Set 1 up 2-0. The Titans would keep a lead all the way up to 12. It would be close all the way through as it was tied at 13 and 16. Newell-Fonda would pull away to take a 24-19 lead and have set point. Macie Dorman would have a good service run to pull it back within two before the Mustangs would close out Set 1, 25-22. Set 2 was also very close in the early stages as it was tied at 1, 2 and 11. Newell-Fonda took the lead up at 21-15. They would close out Set 2 with a 25-19 win as well. Set 3 would be very dominated by Newell-Fonda as they would lead 11-0 during the set. The Titans would score to make it 11-1. Newell-Fonda would go up 21-10 before closing out the Set and Match 25-11. The Titans fall to 8-24 on the year and had a match with Sioux Central immediately after.

South Central Calhoun came off of the loss to Newell-Fonda. Sioux Central was starting off their night as well. The Titans were looking to bounce back and get a win going into their weekend tournament. Set 1 was very close all the way through as both teams had chances all the way through. Sioux Central would take Set 1 after a two point run, 25-23. Set 2 would be just the same as Sioux Central would take a late lead and win the Set, 25-23. Set 3 would also be close but Sioux Central would hold a lead most of the way through and close out the match with a 25-18 victory. The Titans would go 0-2 at the triangular and now travel to Woodward-Granger for a tournament on Saturday.

East Sac hosted Alta-Aurelia in their final regular season matchup of the season. The Raiders sat at 17-13 on the season, while the Warriors were 14-9 on the season coming into the game. The Raiders started their seniors as East Sac hosted their Senior Night. The Raiders 9 seniors would be honored before the matchup. Both teams were very evenly matched record wise. Alta-Aurelia held a lead during most of Set 1 and were able to pick up the win, 25-17. Set 2 would be a struggle for the Raiders as they just could not get much rolling. The Warriors would take Set 2, 25-8. With that momentum, the Warriors would take Set 3, 25-20. They would complete a match sweep and the Raiders would fall to 17-14 on the season. They will host Ridge View in the opening round of the postseason on Monday Night.
