Girls Cross Country Results for Thursday, October 16th

South Central Calhoun at Twin Lakes Conference Meet

South Central Calhoun’s Girls Cross Country ran at the Twin Lakes conference meet on Thursday afternoon. The Titans had their lead runner in Iris Melody back to run for this meet. Melody would take 9th with a time of 22:20.7. She would lead all of the Titans runners. Jossa Haupert would take 16th with a time of 23:56.0. Abby Kistenmacher would take 30th and Ailey Korleski would take 52nd to round out the South Central Calhoun team. The Titans were unable to be apart of the team standings as they would only have 4 runners. It is good momentum for the Titans with the girls running well at the meet. The Titans will run their state qualifying meet next Thursday.

Kuemper at Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet

The Kuemper Knights competed at the Hawkeye 10 conference meet down in Shenandoah. The Knights had a full team ready to go. This was a very good meet as the Hawkeye 10 has been consistently good throughout the year. Anna Seidl would lead the Knights at 24th with a time of 22:54.52. Kaci Wiederien would take 29th with a time of 23:22.47. The Knights would have other runners finish in 38th, 39th, and 42nd. The Knights would finish in 8th with 172 total team points. Harlan would win the meet with 53 points. Grace Berglund of Glenwood would run a 18:45.46 to win the meet as well. The Knights will be off until next week when they run their state qualifying meet.
