Glidden Ralston has battled injuries for the past few weeks and it affected them in the 2nd half on Friday as they fell to Exira-EHK. The Wildcats were able to establish the running game with Colton Rohrbeck and Landon Rohrbeck in the 1st half, matching score for score with the Spartans. They trailed by less than a score at half with the Spartans able to get their two point conversions and the Wildcats unable to. The Spartans stretched the lead in the 2nd half as the youth and inexperience began to take it’s toll. Glidden Ralston had to move running backs and JV players into the lineup in positions that hadn’t played before.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the district. They host Coon Rapids Bayard on 93.7 KKRL on Friday.
