Kuemper hosted Spirit Lake in Week 6 of the regular season and Week 3 of district play for Class 2A. The Knights have been very victorious over the last couple of years, but coming into the match, Spirit Lake was 2-0 vs the Knights. Kuemper came in at the top of the district at a perfect 5-0. Spirit Lake was 1-4 on the year with two close losses to OABCIG and Okoboji. Kuemper has a very high-powered offense, and that showed in the matchup. The Knights would score two touchdowns in all but one quarter. The first quarter was back and forth with the Knights scoring twice with passing touchdowns to Braxton Vonnahme and Griffin Glyn before the Indians would strike back before the break to make it 14-7. The 2nd Quarter was very much the same. Brayton Alford would pick off Ty Higgins and take it back for a score. Jarin Hoffman would rush for his first TD as well. Ty Higgins would get his second rushing TD to end the half. Knights led 28-17 at the break. Both teams would go scoreless in the 3rd. Jarin Hoffman would add two more rushing touchdowns before a final Spirit Lake TD ended the game. The Knights would win 41-21 and remain perfect.
