A quick start helped IKM-Manning take command of the game and their own destiny in the playoff race. They took a 13-0 lead in the 1st quarter and never trailed in a 27-13 win on the road. They were balanced on offense with 191-yards rushing and 181-yards passing with three touchdown passes and one rushing. The defense held LoMa to 189-yards passing and 19-yards rushing on 26 carries.
Ben Ramsey found Wyatt Danner for 19-yards as the Wolves scored on their opening drive, taking a 7-0 lead with 8:21 left in the 1st quarter. The defense made a stop and IKM-Manning took advantage with Davis Rasmussen rambling 50-yards on the second play of a 64-yard drive. The Rasmussen touchdown run gave the Wolves a 13-0 lead with 4:31 left in the 1st quarter. IKM-Manning defense, was in control most of the 1st half but LoMa found some rhythm and scored late in the 1st quarter on a 1-yard run. The extra point pulled the Panthers within 13-7. The Wolves had enough time to close out the half strong and took advantage. Ben Ramsey hit Wyatt Danner for a 16-yard touchdown with 2:16 left in the half, putting the Wolves up 20-7 at half.
LoMa made a game of it in the 3rd quarter with a 24-yard pass with 8:27 left in the 3rd quarter. the extra point pulled the Panthers within 20-13. The game stayed that way into the 4th quarter as neither offense was able to sustain a drive. The Wolves defense forced a pair of turnovers with Ben Ramsey and Wyatt Danner both having an interception. IKM-Manning stretched the lead to two possessions late in the game. Ben Ramsey found Ashton Ahrenholtz for a 18-yard touchdown with 4:39 left. It was Ramsey third touchdown pass and Ahrenholtz first touchdown catch of the game.
Ben Ramsey completed 12 of 18 passes for 181-yards and 3 touchdowns. Davis Rasmussen had 164-yards rushing with a touchdown run. Wyatt Danner had 4 receptions for 67-yards and a pair of touchdowns and Ashton Ahrenholtz made 3 catches for 67-yards and a touchdown. Davis Rasmussen was 3 of 4 on extra-points.
The Wolves are 4-2 overall and 2-2 in Class A District 8. They host Westwood this Friday.
