Carroll had a 30-minute travel out east to Jefferson to take on the Greene County Rams. Carroll came in at 2-3 on the year and 1-0 in district play. Greene County sat at 4-1 and also 1-0 in the district as both were tied for the district lead. Huge district implications for this matchup, as the winner could potentially control their path to the district title. Carroll opened the game on the offensive end of the ball at their own 42. The Tigers would march down the field, aided by a Camden King QB sneak conversion on 4th and 1, which would get them down to the 6-yard line. The Tigers would run a sweep to Kieran Polking, who would get blocks and take it in for the opening drive touchdown. The Tigers would go up 7-0. The Tigers’ defense would force a 3-and-out and regain possession at the Ram 49 49-yard line. The Tigers would once again march on a 7-play drive before Camden King would find Chase Schable for a 14-yard touchdown. Carroll would take a 2-score lead in the 1st quarter. To start the 2nd quarter, Greene County QB Zach Stalder would throw an interception to Mac Collison, who would get the Tigers back on the offensive end. 4 plays into the Tigers’ next drive, Camden King would find Lincoln Burke, who would outrun the Rams’ defense for a 45-yard touchdown. The Tigers would force yet another 3-and-out and regain possession of the ball. They would take over on the Greene County 38 before marching down to the 1. Adam Malik would punch it in for his first touchdown of the night. The Tigers and Rams would stall as it would be 28-0 in favor of the Tigers going into the half. Greene County would go three and out to open the 2nd half. Adam Malik, on the 3rd play of the drive, would take it 29 yards for his 2nd touchdown of the night. For the rest of the matchup, both teams would stall, allowing the Tigers and Rams to give younger kids more reps. The Tigers would shut out the Rams 35-0 for their second district win.
